  Where i stand

  ok so its late and i wanted to share with you (my friends here if i have got any yet) what happened.

  the evening starts off peaceful, but it ended with the old debates with me and mum.

  evidence i found on sites was apostate, on page it was wrong so in the end i had to show her the original source of information.

  Ok so its late and i wanted to share with you (my friends here if i have got any yet) what happened. The evening starts off peaceful, but it ended with the old debates with me and mum. Evidence i found on Sites was apostate, on page it was wrong so in the end i had to show her the original source of information. Firstly thanks for helping me with the old 607BCE is false thing, i have proven to my mum without doubt from a stone tablet in the British Museum WHEN Jerusalem was finally destroyed. Then search for Jerusalem and click the tablet that is called Cuneiform tablet with part of the Babylonian Chronicle (605-594 BC)OR the lachish letters. Not looked at the other artifacts but the named ones DO prove the date given by the society is a lie. I dunno how to say this, but proving this to mum still hasn't 100% shown her, she is trying to say that this is on about a different time period...oh so jerusalem was destroyed again while the people were yet in exile? Thanks people...from karl at his wits end with mum lol

  WT library idea

  some here have original copies going back to russell's time.

  would it make sense to have a resource library available where we pool what we have?

  i have quiet a lot...it's sitting in boxes in my daughter's garage in florida at the moment, but i can get it at some point.

  What can discourage the JW's?

  whenever there is bad news around the world, the jw's turn this into good news for them, because they see it as a sign of the end, so they are encouraged.... if less people join their religion, they will say that the end is close because everyone must have made up their mind, so they become encouraged.. so, what can discourage the jw's?.

  it passed through many channels getting to her, literally hundreds of others received it.

  Well i looked at the quoted articles and to me it just seems the society feels nothing is happening and needed hype, so they exploited some of their poor drawings. :P

  Disappointment

  i guess i know it was to be expected, but i thought i was making headway with my ex.

  it seemed we were at the begining of being able to talk about things, especially the witnesses and bible.

  i had offered to show her from the bible some points and even her own literature (wts) so we could discuss it further.

  oh i agree, i think she might be shown by someone else or just wonder what i was on about and look herself. The brainwashing must be there, there is no room for personal feelings or thoughts (considered dangerous) and there is proof of that. Why else would two different people respond the same way?

  any good pranks????....

  now this might be childish and immature but we all have our moments... i was thinking of some pranks to pull on the kh and one i thought of is calling during every meeting doing different voices (block your number) and ask for pizza, chinese food, you name it.

  also i work at a call center for a magazine company and i was thinking that on my last day that i will set up a trial subscription for them they will get sooo much junk mail and invoices hehe .

  any good ideas of more pranks?

  Same with my mum, in my head i pictured sitting down with a cup of tea and looking at the facts both from their books and all the other sources. Mum said she would give me her evidence for the date 607 but wouldn't look at mine as she didn't need to. Thing is, at first we were talking and seemed like we were making progress. It went wrong :( My stepdad asked me to open the Encyclopedia Britannica to prove the 607 date, and when it said 586, they were both denying it was accurate. If that and other sources had said 607 i would of quit and been happy to admit defeat. Somehow they look past solid evidence and it does get frustrating, since you can see them dedicating to a cause, thinking this is what God wants and in 30 or more years thinking...oh no i've wasted my life.
