In anything I do, I must also consider the well-being of my son. I'm pretty much all he's got.
I make good money and so it's not like this would set me back badly, but it would set me back a little.
I am just being slow today, sorry only been up since 2pm but if its not money thats a problem and its a nice holiday, how will it affect your son badly? I think you should go
my uncle ocasionally complains about how my aunt loves her adult children more than him because she's always thinking about them, worrying about them and reaching out to them.
i think that's a surprising viewpoint because i thought that most mothers (and many fathers) love their children above all others.. do you think that's true?
should a parent love their children more than the spouse (or significant other)?
Normally (unless its me) you'd hope your mum would choose you over spouse because you are literally flesh and blood. Depends what situation would bring this about but surely its a different kind of love?

when you were still 'in', do you remember how you answered questions like; "do you really believe that god will destroy everyone but jehovah's witnesses"?
if you were anything like me you would have been able to look your questioner straight in the eye and answer honestly "no".
Excellent! And after they are out (if it gets that far) they can then see it without tinted glasses and realise your argument fully and realise the jw's were lying...

BTW even you none believers do me a huge favor. The witness returned with my mum later, they'd been on a call. Mum had to go to work so that left me with a Witness.
I preached it to her, she left saying "if you find the truth and its not what i'm in, let me know" - WOW this is the sister that brought my mum in to the faith. PLEASE PLEASE pray hard!! Now in your head - OH and i mentioned the UN scandal and she is off home to look
