i remember once this guy who farted loudly several times in quick succession and then apologised to those present in the room by saying: oh had some coke that's where the gases came from, don't worry they are not the smelly meaty ones.

Whatever plans you have for this weekend - MINE ARE BETTER!!
by nicolaou inokay, i feel a bit smug.
i posted a few days ago how it was our 20th wedding anniversary this week (wednesday actually).
well tomorrow i take my lovely, gorgeous, delicious wife away for the weekend to a fabulous hotel in the english cotswolds.

since yourve left the "truth" have you gone back to your old beliefs considering what happens to you after you die, do you thing you will go to heaven or hell when you die.. next , if you were brought up in the "truth" what do you believe now?

Well i wasn't always a witness before and of course now i am out. I go to church, i am confirmed there. Nothing could make me be a JW again, i know its lies and nothing can excuse what goes on.
Church is good and much more relaxed.

I remember at the hall once this woman (i know her name) started yelling cos i was sat on her 'row' of seats. Thing is the policy had been move around with different people and don't just have a group and get there about 20 minutes early for a meeting.
Another time i whispered to a friend of mine after the meeting had started cos i didn't want this other woman to hear (it was about her son) and although she couldn't of known what we were on about she said "your not allowed secrets in the kingdom hall". BOY did i yell at her, and she looked stupid too...at the assembly i also made her look stupid, she was always out to catch me and my friends out and make us look bad. She kept staring at me without blinking...i did it back and finally i confronted her loudly in front of some brothers and she just said oh no problems and ran off.
OH and i just remembered, a few years after first going to the hall me and a friend started a punch-up lol.

JWD - Balls of the Year - 2006
by Dr Jekyll inok so its a bit early in the year but hopefully this thread can be kept alive with nominations through the year.
1st nomination goes to the guy who videoed the elders at the door telling him that he had been disfellowshipped.
sticking a video camera in their faces and asking awkward questions took balls and he certainly made them look like idiots.

Well they FINALLY CALLED!!!!
by Lady Liberty inyou have asked me to keep you posted as to what happens here regarding the elders return.
as many of you know, we have been waiting for over 2 months for any kind of word back from them.
i kept telling my husband, " you would think that they would at least call, and say they haven't forgotten about us, that they are doing the research they promised to do.

Hey LL, i know this stuff is kinda hard to do even when you know the facts. The Elders e.t.c think they are in some authority and will want to control situations. I think the key is to take control of the conversation (in a way that they don't notice) and direct your questions. If its at your home you are the host. Don't let things go further than you want things too.

I am heading to meeting........

i don't want to go but i must because my husband has to make a good showing, hey i think i will make a gorcery list and write a letter.
i still don't know if being on the board is the right thing in jehovah's eyes, but i do appreciate the opportunity to learn about the organization and it will be my first time back to meeting after doing quite a bit of research....hmmm we will see.
