My fav, Picnic!
One of my all-tme favorite movies, too.
just damn.
one of my all-time favorite actors.
i was surprised that he was 88 - he's always seemed to exude such youthfulness, that i would have guessed him younger.

Handsome and always a really compelling performance no matter what the part. Picnic, PT 109, Charly, Three Days of the Condor, etc. He lost a daughter in 2007, and went downhill rapidly. Of course being 88 will do that, too.
RIP, Cliff.
sometimes i think of the craziest things.
but i,m so happy.
that i,m sharing my twilight years with the wife i have now and.
I wouldn't want to be with anyone else.
i thought this was so insanely stupid that it made it funny, so i had to share.
living in "the bible belt", i meet people with this sort of mentality all the time but this guy takes the cake!
let's all applaud this guy for reaching new lows in his preachy narrow-mindedness that it was barely interesting enough that a reporter was desperate enough for a story wrote about it.. http://nymag.com/daily/intel/2011/08/florida_pastor_asks_why_atheis.html.
If the GOP regains power, this will be standard fare.
if you don't mind i'll share another gem from my review of the latest watchtower study editions (july to october '11).. one article which seemed riddled with flawed reasoning and bizarre analogies was entitled "the internet - making wise use of a global tool" on page 3 of the august 15th watchtower.. under the heading "information - reliable or false?
"never assume that all information found on the internet is good and beneficial.
internet search engines might be compared to a legion of mushroom pickers who tirelessly collect all types of mushrooms - edible as well as poisonous - throwing them into a single container and dishing them out for us to eat.".
Nicely done, cedars.
i have seldom given money to beggars.
i have often thought that many are people who just do not want to work.
however, i am starting to wonder if i ought to: and how much to give?.
I'm with Shelby - I don't go through the mental gymnastics of judging - is this a con? or not?
Some random lucky beggar gets $5 from me about once a month.
judah schroeder?
today i uploaded a new article to my blog providing the latest information about judah schroeder, former bethelite and son of governing body member albert schroeder (deceased).
judah schroeder grew up at bethel.
Sounds like the life of a typical 2nd generation CEO. Being JW is not even in it.
it has been over a month and a half since i have even been on the board, and that really only to ask about gps units (got a tom-tom) and mention the new job.
way too busy with life - post jw now 4 years.. of course, the new job has benefits, health insurance, etc.
(including unlimited use of the company car for personal use and the company pays for the unlimited gas for about a $25/week out of my check -- huge benefit) and this has enabled toni and i to finally after a two year engagement, to get married.
this guy enjoys his fun time!.
People have always complained about presidents' vacations.
i just heard from his brother that he has passed.
several of you know that he has been fighting cancer for a while now.. oh, sac!
i am so very sorry you have left this world... rest in peace, joy, and light... your fight, suffering, and fears are put to rest.. strength and love to all who love you.. .
We had hoped against hope............so sorry to get this news.
