His alternative ploy was to hold his breath until his face turned purple.
"Mommeee! Make them stop itttt nowwww! I just peepeed my big boy pants!"
you can't make up this kind of religious nut-job fanaticism:.

Now that's some serious hate right there.
i know nothing about legal matters, but there are those here who are quite keen at these things.. if they changed the no blood teaching, would this open the watchtower society up to litigation?.
I heard a few years ago from a reliable source that this is exactly why WTS legal department adamantly refused to let the GB let go of the blood doctrine.
Nevermind the lives at stake.
when i see them on chia pets, i'm thinking--- has the world gone mad?.
I apologize in advance, but I have a dilemma I know you can set straight for me.
Mr. Robertson compared homosexuality to beastiality. And people were up in arms. But here is my question:
Some of the same arguments apply: Is it about loving whom you love? So if you and your horse love each other and want to have relations, who is to say you nay (or neigh)? Is there a judgment that loving an animal is somehow wrong or - unnatural?
How does one counter the argument that if loving a member of the same sex is "natural" then loving a member of the animal kingdom can be as well? Where is the line drawn?

my psychiatrist recommended this book, the feeling good handbook by david d. burns, md, to me a couple years ago.
this book has been mentioned on the forum several times before, but i thought i found some things threadworthy in it.
it's a big book of 732 pages.
A classic. My boss, a psychologist, recommended this to me many years ago. It helped.
check out this gem from the dec 2013 km which explains why it's good to over this book a second go round.. "congregations previously considered this book during 2004 and 2005. however, for many of the approximately two million publishers who have come into the truth since then, this will be the first time that jehovahs endearing qualities have been discussed in detail.for those who studied the book before, the review will help them to deepen their appreciation forjehovahs attributes.ps.119:14".
i gotta kick out of this because i can only think of maybe two or three new ones in our congregation who weren't present when this book was first studied.
at the same time, going over jehovah's qualities isn't something new.
THANK FECK i left that boring crap behind.
7 years of no meetings and I don't feel a shred of loss or missing out, they offer nothing but thin air and if anything take from your soul (not the woo kind) not nourish it.
Oh, c'mon.....tell us how you really feel........don't hold back, now......
smackers, snare

Oh, I'd like to see that. Jehovah, the OT god of petty, bloody violence. Endearing.....not so much.
lawrence of arabia made him an international star, but his acting gifts showed in many of his films.
goodbye mr. chips, in which he starred with petula clark, is one of my favorites.. rip .
He was an awesome actor. And, when he was in his prime, he was totally gorgeous and sexy.
HOWEVER - sadly, he did not age well. He was only 81 but had looked much older for years. Drink? Probably.
