Damn! I see that Brigid outed us.
As if we were fooling anyone.
Okay now I can add my extra crushes (you know, outside of my cybergod, Daystar):
Elsewhere (so cute and sweet; makes me want to give him a big ole' hug)
Little Toe (who here does not have a crush on Little Toe, after I saw the pic of him in a kilt on Thom's...well...)
I miss ole' tetrapod
Girl crush on Sparki and Arrowstar
IP_sec (now why do I mention him immediatley after Arrowstar??? : )
In Between (you know the new kid on the board who's avatar looks like Vin Deisel?)
fag-hag crush on PaulMarshall (he's so smart!)
Satanus
Too many to mention...I'll think of more.

this was a comment my jw mother recently relayed to my father.. i don't know if it was by an elder, co, etc.
... ... ... they must really be preparing for some "big announcement" next dc.
i know there have been rumors here.
Yes, my mother and brother called from the road to the convention yesterday all a twitter over the new convention (I mean way more than usual). She said she was going to send me the new tract for it or something.
I'm old enough to remember when Pres. Bush the first, announced 1986 as the year of "peace and security" and I can remember my little witness friend and I sitting by the creek where he was destroying his stash of Playboys in preparation musing over the fact the the great trib was sure to start right then. We were both in a state of slight panic.
Same old same old, I say. But it keeps their lives interesting.

i know, strange title.
i was just thinking about why nice guys never get the girl.
i mean, i'm a girl.
Okay, who else here thinks that Dams and Else need to get a room!!
Well, Mr. and Ms. Smith, y'all have fun at the Dew Drop Inn.

I'm going to be interesting to see what happens if Daystar has a crush on you too!
Now wouldn't that be interesting indeed???????

personally, i'm feeling better about things.
i don't cringe when i see a witness now.
i may still try to avoid contact with certain ones but now i feel more than ever before that jws are crackpots and whether they look down on me or not, they are the ones with the issues----not me!
It's not that everything is peachy and smooth as the glassy sea since leaving. It's that my consciousness has shifted. Instead of looking at the glass as half empty, I truly see it as half full. My life, though rough at times, is quite beautiful and most importantly, it is mine. My decisions, my path, my responsibility, my power. It is pure potentiality at any given moment. That is something that was missing as a witness--when bad things happened: Satan. When good things happened: Jehovah. Just wait. Just react to whatever situation came along according to the publishing company's direction, never be proactive or reach out for anything. Now I'm more proactive.

i thought this might be interesting.
if it's been talked about before, i apologize in advance.
what differences do you think exist between the two?
I more or less just consider myself an "x" vs. an apostate. I do not call for the downfall of the organization, believing that people must follow their own path, no matter what. Nor do I really hate the organization. I believe it will implode of it's own volition or change so radically, that it will be just another religion.
Having said that, I chafe at the thought that the organization still has the ability to "define" me. I am by their definition, an apostate. I am an x jw. But I am also a lot of other things in my life. I cannot escape my upbringing, or the fact that everything that I was taught and went through led me to this board to be with a handful of people (proportionately to the world population) who understand me. But it still chafes that some small minded religious group has the power to define me. However, it is true. And I am glad to be here.

OMG!!! OMG!!! OMG!!! I finally made an honorable mentions list from someone other than my A number one crush on this whole world wide web, Daystar (who makes mine and many of the other girls here melt when we behold that creepy hell beast avatar pop on some thread).
I can't believe it! Someone noticed me!!!

Of course, the list I made it on was about a hundred people long, but hey, I'll take it where I can get it!

ok the first time i thought it was pretty cool how they applied every little scripture to themselves.
i sat rapt with my young children while we discussed wonderful things to come.
the second time i was like...where's my old book with all the notes in the margins, im not looking all this sh-t up again!.
I have always been fascinated with the last book of the bible. I still read it sometimes because even though the interpretation by the wts is totally whacked out, there is some really deep deep stuff there (has anyone read the bible code?). So, can't say that I loved the book so much (the Greatest Man was my favorite), but I always liked (like) discussion Revelation.
John was on some wild wild trip on the island of Patmos.
