have you ever gotteni nto an argument with a j-dub, or basically any hardcore bible thumper???

have you ever brought up the fact that if he were so loving, god would not allow all the suffering we see on a day to day basis, never mind what the hungry children around the world are suffering?

have u ever noticed what their responce will invariably be?.

if god exists, than satan is really getting a bad rap, because anything bad that happens is so easily redirected to this evil entity, when no one questions why god lets(in italics) it happen.

and then you get comments that begin with:
god's sovereignty... blah blah blah
god's chariot... blah blah blah.

of course, i'm not saying that god doesn't exist...
(dodges thunderous lightning).

and i've concluded i'll probably never meet any of you, and those of you that i secretly know, will never realize who i am, so what is there to lose?

i've lost already.. i'm so g'damn tired.

here's my weekly rant.

and i've concluded i'll probably never meet any of you, and those of you that i secretly know, will never realize who i am, so what is there to lose?

i've lost already.. i'm so g'damn tired.

well (long and drawn out),
when i went to AA meetings, i was 18-ish. (my teenage years are a bit of a blur today...) and i didn't so much as have a drinking problem, as have a general manic problem. the drinking and the drugs and the 72 hour partying trips, were probably some sort of coping mechanism that allowed me to survive to the ripe ol' age of 30. (note: i moved on to healthier coping tactics in my early 20s).

the AA meetings offered more comfort to my depression then to the possibility that i had a drinking problem. in the end, the issues were more solidly dealt with in one-on-one therapy sessions with a psychologist.

ahhh, so much material for a book...

recanting on a previous thread where i commented on the unlikelihood of ever meeting any of you... .

i've just been advised that i will be shipped to toronto for training in a couple weeks.

now, i'm not saying i want to meet anyone.

I had that "itch" over the weekend.

after that relationship with that "woman" went down the toilet i noticed one creepy thing.

it's been awesome to see your metamorphosis during your trial/ordearl. she has no hold over you!

and just a thought from a woman's perspective (and i'm not saying this is all women), but it appears to me like she's playing mind-games with you. it's not like she can't go out and buy a new one. it's a friggin CD!!??!? it seems to me, she's trying to make you feel bad.

i'm a huge albert camus fan and have read the myth of sysiphus...
(i'm also a huge nick drake fan).

anyway, thanks for the suggestion. i'm just slightly volatile at night, but in the morning, things always appear better.
