The only 2 that I can think of that are even close to real for Vietnam, would be Hamburger Hill and We Were Soldiers.
Two for post war would be The Best Years of Our Lives and Ceasefire, both good post war movies.

There was an old war movie that I can't remember the name of, but it was a true story about a soldier who was a christian. He captured a whole camp wile only shooting one soldier. If I remember correctly, that soldier lived. Anyone know what the name of the move is?
Is it Sgt York, with Gary Cooper and Walter Brennan?

Dakota, no disrespect to yourself but I think you have read me wrong there, what I was saying was that if there was no plane that crashed into the Pentagon then where did they hide all the passengers and the plane that went missing ?
Maybe I am misreading you, but the thought that there was no plane that hit the Pentagon has been thoroughly debunked.

On your second point with regards to the IRA being from England I have lived in the midst of them from my early years,
I mentioned that solely to show a point as to how anything can become a conspiracy theory. I have no love for the IRA and even though they have calmed down lately, there are also a couple splinter groups from them that desire to keep the violence going. Elsewhere here, I have called for them to also be included in any war on terrorists.

It works both ways. I have watched Iraqi prisoners on TV filmed by us and seen pictures of the dead clutching white flags. The Geneva Convention should be adhered to by both sides.
Would this be the Iraqis that approached under a white flag to ambush the allied soldiers, Simon? (as reported on FOXnews today) With the US under the worldwide microscope, the outrage over any Iraqi POW so much as stubbing their toe while in captivity would deafen even the Shock and Awe campaign.

While not changing my initial answer and still feeling true friendships will survive this, I must also say I have lost a lot of respect for quite a few people, both from the US and Europe.
John Lennon, although not a messiah like some seem to believe, sang and wrote a good entertaining song. Too bad that others don't bother listening to it. I wonder if her ever recorded it in Arabic?
it seems to me that the real enemies are hiding and we have to find them.
we have to locate them and force them out into the open, trying not hurt any innocents in the process.
the stated purpose is that we are ridding them of their mafia government so they can be a free and productive society of iraqians, not to force them into bondage of the us.
I too, am fearful that so many troops will go in, further and further, and then Saddam will do something totally "his nature", like release the chemicals and germs.
I sincerely hope this doesn't happen. Believe it or not, this Shock and Awe is not even close to bearing the full brunt of the American Military, without the use of nuclear weapons.
What I am starting to fume over right now, besides some who think they know it all, is hearing that all the while the Russians have been calling for more inspections, they have been continually supplying Saddam with up to date and prohibited weaponry, right up to this week. Some friends, huh?
the british forces are under double pressure as they not only have to be aware of attacks from the iraqi's but they have to keep one eye on their american friends.. during the last gulf war, the americans inflicted more casualties on the coalition forces than the iraqi's did.. friendly fire seems to be limited to the americans.
you never hear of the royal marines accidentally shooting up a car of journalists or blowing an american plane out of the sky.... but, what am i saying, the americans have a president that has attacked another nation without just cause... so thats where they get it from.. watch out boys!...the americans are about.

Sadly, the latest I hear on FOXnews said it was confirmed they didn't get to eject and perished. My condolences to loved ones.
