  i got a phone call from an ex dub i used to hang out with 20 years ago when we were young bucks.

  i hardly seen him in the past 15 years.. weve gone different ways and his family was always a bit..you know... tainted.

  a bit nutso.. anyway, the guy calls me on tuesday night all distressed and wanting desperately to see me.

  Hi Waiting. In my case, the stepbrat and, her siblings, need very little coaching. They learned real young how to manipulate the system and they know what power they have. Anything said by them is and was accepted as gospel, especially in the Kingdom Hall.

  Add to that, their maternal grandad was a Vietnam draft dodger and I am a Vietnam Veteran.

  What really amazes me is the latest complaint I received from CPS, steming from the same kid. Can you imagine receiving a threatening letter from an over impressed with themselves agency over listening to music? I'm still in a quandry as to whether I should reply or just let it slide, since the monsters are out of my life now.

  What a mess liberalism has made of this country and the world.

  How true, Naeblis. I used to do just about anything I could for kids. After the soon to be exes brats, I am very leary of being around kids. So far, it has not interfered with my grandkids.

  In my case, RF, the cops never even talked to me. They talked to everyone else and found out that I could not and would not have done it. The dub wife let it slip a day or two afterwards.

  If he is guilty, it will come out. They never restrict their conduct to just one or two, but usually go after others too.

  But, to be accused of such a thing, even falsely, is a bitter stigma to carry around with you. Like Naeblis said, many automatically believe you did something and will always think that.

  If innocent, I really feel for the guy. Two years ago, I too was accused of trying to molest my then 13 year old stepdaughter. I found out about it after the investigation by the police found the charges baseless. Luckily, they decided to investigate it quietly first and not lock me up first.

  If really innocent, the interviews with friends and acquaintenances should show the charges to be baseless. If there are other young girls he has been around, they too should be interviewed and state whether he tried anything with them.

  I don't know about in Australia, but here in the US, it is almost impossible to prove your innocence and they don't have to prove your guilt, usually, just accuse. I am one of the lucky ones.

  This same JW kid, now 15, recently turned me into CPS (Childrens Protective Services)again. This time I am accused of "contributing to her command hallucinations to kill herself by downloading and playing music drogatory to women in her presence. My taste in music ranges from Big Band of the late 30's to rock up to the mid 80s. I have no music derogatory to women.

  As I told the Social Worker, it is really a sad state of affairs when an out of control Government agency can now mandate what music a person is allowed to listen too.

  Thank God this marriage is over and they moved out the 25th of March. Such honesty and caring coming from a dub family! Never again!

  so-called apostates are, imo, actually persons who have been refined in the fires of criticism so that their true personalities shine through.

  apostates are the best, most loyal friends in the whole world.

  they do not have to worry about whether something is right or wrong, they are free to act upon instinct, upon feeling, upon their innermost emotions.. not for them the wearisome, tiresome, boring old its either right or its wrong mentality that cripples the acolytes of the wtbts!

  I can't honestly say I ever felt cared for by the JWs. Everything was conditional with them. The so called shepherding calls sounded nice on the surface, but there never really was any substance to them, just get to meetings more and go out in service more. You just never did enough.

  if you could have one wish come true, what would it be?

  just one wish, that you would have to live w/ for the rest of your life, whether if be winning the lottery, finding true love, world peace, etc...what would you choose?.

  i know what my wish would be...i wish i never met him.

  For me, I would just wish that I met a decent woman who appreciated me, shared common interests and wasn't out for what I could give her materially. Sorry ladies, I know that probably most of you aren't like that, but most I ever got involved with personally just wanted what I could buy them. When money got tight, they looked for greener pastures.

  In a nutshell, I would just like to spend the rest of my life with a special lady that is my equal and wants to have a life with me.

  Preferrably not a JW!

  Well, Yadirf, you can think of God as puny as you wish, makes no nevermind to me.

  However, from your your current and past responses, I think that all can see that what is really puny originates with you. That must be why you feel the need to attack so many here, to make up for the feelings of inadequacies for what you were not endowed with.

  Who shuns you?

  after reading a number of posts it sounds like most of you have been shunned even by your immediate family members (parents, brothers, sisters)after you were df'd.. i am shunned by my sister-in-law - but she's it out of the entire family.

  my uncle, brothers, mother, and father (an elder before he passed away) all continued to associate with me - we even go out to dinners together.. so here's my question - is my family the minority?

  i thought that only non-family members had to shun you but family was ok as long as they don't discuss spiritual issues.

  My step kids totally shunned me, would not even speak to me, unless they saw an opportunity to "correct" me about the dubs. The estranged wife, although not shunning me, did avoid me, mostly. However, when she got "frisky" or needed money, then she could sit down and be with me.

  Currently, they are gone, moved out a couple weeks ago and completely avoid me, except for the soon to be exwife. She will speak to me when she wants some money. No other dub has any contact with me whatsoever. Thankfully, I have two adult daughters that never became JWs and so, they are not only pleased that escaped the Watchtower, but that we can be together and enjoy each others company without dub influence trying to sneak in.

  Bizarre religious doctrines

  i am aware of false religious doctrines in the w.t.s.. i never really considered the possibility of others also being manipulated by different religious organizations.. i work with a woman who is very devout in her beliefs.

  the women in her church are not permitted to use birth control, cut their hair, wear makeup or wear jewelry.

  they may sing but no music or musical instruments are permitted.

  There is a small group, I believe they are called the Followers of Christ, that absolutely will not see a doctor under any circumstances, even for their children. Prayer only. I have heard that Oregon has been investigating them, off and on, for a while and trying to come up with a way to presecute the parents who let their children die when a simple dose of antibiotics could have saved a childs life. They have to be careful not to infringe on religious freedoms, I believe.

  As far as I am concerned, all religions have something bizarre in them. Hell, birth control, prayers to Mary, beads, elevated clergy, you name it. They all have become bizarre.

  I see a fiery hell as just another tool religions use to exploit their followers. Mainstream does it by scaring the beejeezies out of their follower of burning their forever. The Watchtower does it by threatening everlasting cutting off, while many still have fearful thoughts of a burning hell left in the back of their mind from former religions.

  No, I believe when we die, we die. Whether or not there is a resurrection remains to be seen. So far, I have never met anyone who has came back.
