  What's the best way to let someone down gently?

  i'm so used to getting dumped myself, now the situation is reversed i'm not sure what to say.

  i don't want to do the chicken shit thing and ignore her.

  i think she is a vulnerable girl.

  As Christians, the goal of any relationship should be to cause the people in our lives to love and know the Lord better. Living together is shameful and selfish as the parties do not care what others think or how they might affect their families and others.

  They are living to please their own lust and selfish desires. This type of life style is destructive and especially so for children whose parents are living a bad example before them.

  No wonder our children are confused about right and wrong when parents degrade the sanctity of marriage by living together out of wedlock. How can living together cause children to love and honor God when their parents break the laws of God before them because they are lustful?

  You should have told her you are only into sex.

  We know that it is the Lord's will for people to have a mate if they desire one.

  Being single is an important time to prepare us for marriage. It can also be a time to experience a closer communion with God.

  Couples who just "live together" according to the Bible, are committing the same sin that whores commit. Singles who "make love" fall into the same category. Just because society has accepted this type of living does not make it right.

  reading hellriders topic made me wonder about this.. i waited till i was 21 because i was drinking alcohol as a youth and didn't want to get baptized while breaking the law.

  man that is screwed up, seemed reasonable at the time.

  i'm not a jw, never have been, and in no danger of becoming one.. having read several of the wt mags and publications (and many more extracts on this and other sites) they come across to me as being very patronising in tone and full of pseudo-scholarship, misquoted (or unnamed) sources, references taken out of context, mis-translations, etc.

  i'm aware of jw 'teaching' on the subject of higher education for its members (i.e.

  not a good or necessary thing) so i can understand why many jws raised in it may not challenge the publications.

  JWs are only human. Humans tend to be sincere even if they are following something that is untrue. JWs mainly love giving out tracks but when it comes to the nitty gritty they cannot function without WT material. So probably the easiest thing to do is to give out the material to all people.

  What would an uneducated person do? Listen to the untruths?

  can you bring yourself to throw it out?.

  it's the only book from my dub days i can't get rid of.. i guess i still have part of the "old personality" and i haven't fully put on the "new personality"
