When I was married it scared me when me and the ex was fighting verbally. She would ALWAYS beg me to hit her.Knowing that she could call the police, tell the elders that I was abusive and I would get pwned. That article brings me back to that time when we argued and I turned my back to her and went to sleep. I kept dreaming of being in a smoky, burning building where I could'nt breath.
When I woke up both of her hands were on the back of my head and pressing me into my thick pillow.
I did'nt realise how strong she really was until that night. I mean, I actually saw yellow stars, green clovers and purple horseshoes while trying to get up from the pillow I actually felt afraid,VERY afraid.
She let me up after I begged, and cried like a bitch for her to stop. And she did...and laughed and said that I was snoring too loud for her.
After that I knew I had to leave...I did'nt know how, but I had to escape.
from then on I slept in the second bedroom....with the door locked.
I read about that guy with the ripped balls, and mr. bobbit and I think to myself, "That could've been me"
And I thank God that it was'nt.

I actually screamed when I was reading this... I don't know if I could've gone on without my balls.

When I came to the realisation that their yoke WAS unkindly and that their load was not light.

i've been in an upbeat mood lately.
i don't know if it's all the exercise that i'm doing or what but i've not been moody all 3 weeks.one thing that i've noticed, is that i've listened to certain songs that made me forget about "her" and move on with bigger and better things.
when i was depressed i listened to some songs from tool, some from the cure, barbra manning, the old babyface songs, some from sade, sweetback, and maxwell and everything but the girl.
The Chills - Effloresce and Deliquesce and Water wolves
Hmm...I'll check them out.

hi guys, im new here and im christian (though trying to read the bible for what it is instead of looking to preacher all the time.
) anyway, i have a dilemma.
im 26 right now.
Jesus gave up his life so that you might be forgiven. He died a really horrible death so that you could be forgiven. Now if he's made such a big sacrifice for you don't you think you should bloody well use it. He did it for you. For you to forgive yourself. Now forgive yourself in his name and move on.By not forgiving yourself you are rejecting his gift to mankind and that's probably worse than the original sin you committed.
damn...good point. Dr.
And btw, Welcome to the forum.Don't beat yourself up over it. She's moved on... you should too, one day at a time.

most of mine are angry gangsta rap songs but usually helps when ya wanna kill someone!
LOL! Yeah...Hand on the pump by cypress hill gets me amped too!
Yeah, I totally for got about master of puppets. I like the track Orion.
But If I'm moody...Bjork, Or Sade. I can remember when After my divorce all I listened too was that. I even would watch that Lover's tour dvd. That was awsome, and at the end of that dvd I would feel so, so relaxed while drinking my kaluha and milk over the rocks.
It's funny how you could go through a certain fase listening to one thing until your ears can say, "Ok, that's enough, move on."
And you do...After my divorce was final I was then listening to Tears for Fears,"Songs from the big chair" and some Dj Quick, Daft Punk.

today i must say good-bye to a friend i have known for 14 years.
sylvester was only four months old when he and his brother scout moved in with me - a dog person - and my australian shephard.
the kittens were supposed to be pets for the 10-year-old.
((())) I'm sorry...
jojochan.
man, that was cool.
i got to see the baby beating the crap out of his/her mother today on the ultrasound screen!
the hospital is mean and doesn't want to tell us the sex of the baby, so we'll have to pick a gender-neutral name like "rocky" or something.. j/k :).
I have nicknamed our child "the creature" until we know if it's a boy or girl.
LMAO!!! You crazy Nos!
Congrats man!
Have one it's on the house

large numbers of jw congregations are going to be trouble long before they lose their last elder to death or resignation.. most congregations i know have at least one - and often several - elders who can barely function at all, due to illness, old age.
or just plain inability to accomplish anything.
the society seems loathe to remove these men, despite their 'elder in name only'.
One of the most hilarious things you can witness is a meeting with the Circuit Overseer in which various brothers get into a debateabout which one of them should shoulder real responsibility - which they're all trying to avoid. ( "Brother Lax can certainly do the school....
.... "Why, No I can't - and , in fact, you should do it!").
LMAO!! That is so true!
Then the work trickles down to the ministerial servants. I remember when I was in; that THAT was the issue. One brother had said in one meeting right in the C.O's face that he had "Too much on his plate".
"Paper Elders" you gotta love 'em.
