  New Light On Blood???

  hi gang:.

  i have been assisting a lady in conversing with her boyfriend who has been studying with the jws.. this past weekend, the elder that is studying with this lady's boyfriend claimed that blood transfusions are a conscience matter and that you can have them if you want.. now, is this part of the new document on blood that is coming down soon or is this guy just playing word games?.

  I asked this same thing to my father, he replied that when a person uses blood; it IS a sign of spiritual weakness, in his opinion. But up to god to judge him. HE then recalled a sister that took blood and when asked by fellow members of the collective; she was telling them openly, with no shame, hey why not? She was happy to be alive. But then the elders counseled her not to say ANYTHING about her medical treatment for fearing she may stumble those in the collective... The verdict? You can now use it, but DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL. That seems to be the unwritten rule, the one that's unknown by the rank and file.

  I know I was stunned too when I heard it from his face.

  Crazy Californian Witnesses...

  but there is a general consensus among my friends and some witnesses that i talk to that there is something almost inherently wrong with californian witnesses.

  (i'm on the east coast) .

  I was'nt THAT bad. Was I?

  No; real talk folks, I just recalled from my past that we just loved to party all the time. And in my 20's held private raves once a month. Ya; they were wild. Then that sunday I was half dead from the binge drinking. But now looking at my little brother now in his 20's I see the same thing they're still strict as they wanna be but when he ventured into New York he saw a difference the only grip he has is that when he went to New York, no love was given to him and his boys. Even the "sistas" did'nt hang with him. Hey I told him to not tell them where he's from, they don't care. I guess they're still sore that L.A took the dogers from Brooklyn, I joked.

  He was'nt laughing.To this day he hates New York,personally I loved it.

  in fact, during the winter campaign of the girl scouts of the usa, people spend millions of dollars on these delicacies.

  linda* (*not her real name) said that she buys no less than 18 boxes of the cookies every two weeks during the campaign.

  Can DaVinci Code make Witnesses think?

  i've just finished reading the book...and i know most of it is fiction, but some of you might have read it too.

  as an ex-jw, it really made me think...the author has an excellent way to make one think outside the box without making it look like he wants to ram his ideas into your head...you know, it's kind of subtle, amongst all the action and enigmas.

  my father loves to read...i really want him to read that book.

  I know, my cousin had just finished reading the whole book and she was spooked to say the least. She said she had weird feelings throughout the reading of that book. She asked me why was that, and I replied,"Your brain is making new connections in processing materials, relax girl, YOU ARE THINKING.

  Just too add I also gave her a copy of the "Iron Triangle" to further spook her out,lol.

  Hubby's home!

  my husband is back home.

  his hemoglobin is at 11. i will have to keep monitoring his stools for blood, and he will have to go back in for lab draws for blood counts.

  but, he's doing well; and he's happy to be home.. thanks again to everyone for your kind thoughts and messages!.

  JW Children, Holidays, and Memories

  my husband and i were walking through the store today and we passed a display of valentines -- you know, the kind that school kids buy and exchange in the classroom.

  i paused and glanced them over, remembering how much i used to love holidays at school.

  I can remember when all throughout my school years about that one. I really did'nt care about christmas, but holloween always interested me. I was envious of the "normal" children that was able to endulge in trick or treating and eating candy and scaring the crap out of each other. The birthdays were the ones that hurtthe most because I felt it was the one day that should be mine . Years later I indulge in the holidays for social value with my new friends. The giving of gifts, b.d gifts and such. This past new years I celebrated it with someone special and kissed in the new year, and for the first time in my life I felt....human.

  It just shows that if he were to appear in the hall and rebuke the elder body, they would'nt believe that it was him, lable him 'postate and usher him out the hall. How far away they have strayed from "the way"?
