I have nicknamed our child "the creature" until we know if it's a boy or girl.
LMAO!!! You crazy Nos!
Congrats man!
Have one it's on the house
jojochan.
man, that was cool.
i got to see the baby beating the crap out of his/her mother today on the ultrasound screen!
the hospital is mean and doesn't want to tell us the sex of the baby, so we'll have to pick a gender-neutral name like "rocky" or something.. j/k :).

large numbers of jw congregations are going to be trouble long before they lose their last elder to death or resignation.. most congregations i know have at least one - and often several - elders who can barely function at all, due to illness, old age.
or just plain inability to accomplish anything.
the society seems loathe to remove these men, despite their 'elder in name only'.
One of the most hilarious things you can witness is a meeting with the Circuit Overseer in which various brothers get into a debateabout which one of them should shoulder real responsibility - which they're all trying to avoid. ( "Brother Lax can certainly do the school....
.... "Why, No I can't - and , in fact, you should do it!").
LMAO!! That is so true!
Then the work trickles down to the ministerial servants. I remember when I was in; that THAT was the issue. One brother had said in one meeting right in the C.O's face that he had "Too much on his plate".
"Paper Elders" you gotta love 'em.

mindless fun part (ii) .

mine is - west side story followed in second place by the very first star wars.
Three that come to mind though...Color Purple, Repo Man, Star Wars Empire Strikes Back.
Honorable mentions, Black Hole and Tron. And John Carpenter's The Thing.

i've been in an upbeat mood lately.
i don't know if it's all the exercise that i'm doing or what but i've not been moody all 3 weeks.one thing that i've noticed, is that i've listened to certain songs that made me forget about "her" and move on with bigger and better things.
when i was depressed i listened to some songs from tool, some from the cure, barbra manning, the old babyface songs, some from sade, sweetback, and maxwell and everything but the girl.
Oh YEAH...how could I forget about Mr.Cash! I never got into country music until my ex girlfriend exposed me to it. I like that lady that sang "I don't feel like loving you today". And some songs by kenny chesney.
Oh yeah that song "Country Badunka dunk" XD!!!!! And Big and Rich.OH yeah...Shania Twain
Damn...I listen to everything.

LOL! Those K.M's....whoah; now that takes me back....
to the toilet to puke..."
That one line from that kingdom melodie would just irk me though, "Even though satan slaps us we're trusting you still."
Amel Larruex's "Sacred" gets a worthy nod. I was REALLY feeling that song.
I still do.

Damn! How could I forget REM?!
At the time when "Everybody hurts" came out, that was my them for a long time.
I don't know, it just spoke to me. Especially when at the start of the song it starts off dark, then it ends brighter, I loved when the strings came in towards the end of the song.

When I was still going to the hall though I know that radiohead got me through that period where I was questioning how things were with the how the organization was running, how the overbearing rules were taking a toll on those that I knew and how they were frustrated with the so-called "ban" on "unchristian" music. Which got me wondering at the time...music can make you provoke a thought or an emotion, but it can also prompt you to THINK about how that song relates to you and your situation whatever that maybe. "Let Down" by Radiohead made me do that.
Come to think of it, that whole album made me think about that period that I was going through. As well as many other artists that I was listening to.

hello, this is my first time posting here after finding this site a few weeks back.
i studied jehovah witness teachings for a brief time, when i knew little of the bible during my teen years, but fortunately came to realize the witnesses were not christian at all.. however since i was teen i have followed and enjoyed the music of prince more than any other singer/artist.
i always loved his ability to express both the carnal and the spiritual in his songs, the very thing that makes us human.
Larry Graham's big score.
YES! THAT'S the guy that was there with him that day.
thanks msjones.

But now it's been a little different. Since my moods a little better I'm listening to the songs that I got from an old thread that I posted about music. Thanks for the suggestions everyone! I've also was listening to Perfect Circle, Jaime Cullum and Amiel Larreux (gawd I hoped I spelled that right) Old U2, ect.
I don't know...it depends on the mood I guess...powerful how music can make one feel....how much emotion it can put you through good or bad if you let it.
I don't know; I just felt like posting this. enjoy the day!
