Two things to consider.
1. A word to the wise from Mr. Jagger in Miss You:
You know - girls will come and go -
They're just like streetcars...2. "Show me a beautiful married woman and I'll show you a guy that's tired of fucking her." (Source forgotten.)

OK lets just say for sake of arguement, armargedon comes, god wants to know why you left the JW's. What do you say to him?
by highdose insorry for the long title.. i don't belive this will happen for a second.
but its an interesting question.
there you are at armargeddon, and god asks you " why you left the jw's?

I think it was Kurt Vonnegut who once offered this possible response: "Not enough information, sir, not enough information."

"Armageddon is Weeks Away" Phrase...Is WT pushing this phrase more recently?
by mentallyfree31 ini'm wondering if this phrase is perhaps being pushed recently in letters to the elders or circuit overseers.
i have heard it a time or two here in the last few days on the forum - specifically from a bethelite.. also, the last conversation i had with my presiding overseer about 5 weeks ago, he used this exaxt phrase: "i believe armageddon is only weeks away".. i know its been right around the corner for 130 years, but it seems this exact phrase seems to be floating around a lot lately.. what are your thoughts?
jw's usually don't think for themselves - they just repeat what those above them say.

What does Jesus do all day anyway?
by Terry inwithout sounding crass or being impudent or deliberately caustic i'd just like to know one thing.. what does jesus do all day, exactly?.
is it interesting for him?.
is it productive?

Watching and waiting until the time is right
Open letter to Jesus:
Dear Jesus,
The time is right! Repeat, the time is right!

God, Gays & Evangelicals
by alice.in.wonderland inwhile participating on this website (one of the only three places i've discussed religion online) i asked a question:.
i've observed quite a few posts and comments here about religious intolerance toward gay men and women (i'm quoting), the terror and murder of homosexuals instigated by christians.
the religion i was raised in was in agreement with the bible based view that alternative lifestyles are immoral but they never instigated any hateful rhetoric toward gay men or women.

Many things are called abominations so we need to take that for what it is.
Personally, I think it's an abomination that folks in the 21st century are taking moral instruction from the OT. (And the NT ain't much better.)

JimmyPage and leavingWT:
When I said "Imagine" (though technically not a Beatles song) is worth more than any of Paul's drivel.
I was referring to THE APOSTLE PAUL, not Paul McCartney.
Sir Paul McCartney takes a backseat to no one.
(Yikes, I gotta be more careful.)

I wonder whether Paul was gay?
Of course he was. Just like every gay-bashing-FamilyValues-evangelical-rightwing-Republican-preacher/politician whose hypocracy periodically pops up in the news. These guys are self-loathing in the extreme.
And speaking of the Beatles, "Imagine" (though technically not a Beatles song) is worth more than any of Paul's drivel.
