  my wife (never a jw) is ill and undergoing a series of treatments that will last for many months.

  it's a physical, emotional, and financial drain on both of us.. my wife has run her own business for many years and has an extensive client list that includes some very well-to-do folks.

  one of those clients called her one day and offered to pay all of her medical expenses.

  Big Love versus Big Armageddon

  i've been enjoying "big love" on hbo for the past few years.

  (for those who don't know, it's about the life of a mormon polygamist and his family in utah, usa.).

  seems like the mormons, even without officially sanctioning polygamy, can go toe-to-toe with the jws in the wackiness department.. so why does mormonism, as a religious movement, seem more acceptable (than jws) to the mainstream, and thus more successful?.

  during the watchtower study, when the reader begins reading paragraph 10, rise from your seat, gather your things, and silently leave the premises.

  this will give you an idea of who in the congregation is of like-mind.. future meeting attendance is, of course, up to you..

  reading the recent thread concerning the crazy things that have happened at the kh, i have to ask: do families become dysfunctional because they are dubs, or do they become dubs because they are dysfunctional?
