i was wondering, if the wts legal dept.
got overwhelmed with lawsuits and their volunteer attorneys at bethel decided that they couldn't take it anymore and decided to leave bethel, how would this affect the society?.
would the society have to consult outside attorneys?
That is astounding---95 Lawyers!! I remember when good old Brother Covington was the only lawyer, and he used his time defending Cassius Clay's religious right to refuse military service.

special talk - is god still in control?
does anyone have an effective illustration or experience for this talk?
regards ajayboy
Ajayboy,
Welcome.
Are you actually giving the talk?
u
.
maybe most of you, who see me post, think that i talk alot because i start many threads, but i'm way more quiet in real life.. how about you, are you the same online as in real life?
Same,
I like to kid around and joke a lot, and sometimes kind of 'needle' people. I enjoy a good debate, especially if there is a "standard" on which all parties agree.
Most people think I'm warm and fuzzy. I have been accused of being a people pleaser.
But I am 60 and I do have an edge.

this is in reference to the thread about dubs not having pets.
although, not a rule from the borg there are ones who would say you should not have pets.
can you think of other silly made-up rules that someone tried to impose on you?
I'm familiar with all of the aforementioned "quirks".
We had a CO in the late 70's who insisted that the brothers wear only white shirts, especially when giving parts.
His son visited our Circuit Assy, and was picked up at the airport and brought directly to the Assy, and then had an interview on the program. Guess what? Yeah--and it was DARK too.
Well, this CO didn't say another word ever about white shirts. He was a pretty nice guy all things considered, in New Braunfels Texas if I remember correctly.

don't you just love it when you're out in service with one of those self-righteous elders and they get stumped at the door in field service by someone who knows more than they do!
so the lady goes: "who was the very first jw?
elder: stutter stutter
I'm sure you know more about it than I do but interestingly, Moses father in law, Jethro was a Priest of Midian and Job was a man from the East, the most righteous man on earth at the time.
Neither Jethro nor Job is credited with "writing" any part of the Bible. WTS says that Moses wrote Job.
Solomon, and Lemuel and one more I can't think of is credited with Proverbs, and Solomon did not appear to remain faithful and not much if anything is known about Lemuel.
Just rambling. Hope you and yours are well.
