Its awful these things are happening, but there are some things we can all help with ie. climate change. I guess we just have to do what we can individually being as God is not around right now.
If God doesn't exist and we all become extinct then I don't know what difference it makes cos we all die after such a short time anyway.
If God does exist and steps in at some point then that would be nice.
Either way i'm not that bothered, as long as I've done my best to look after what God/Evolution has given me/us.
Can't be bothered to fret anymore, so exhausting.

One of the elders said 'sumfink' and 'nuffink'. The word 'jehovah' seemed to be lenghthened out a lot too like 'jeeeeeeehoooovah' and the 'je' was pronounced 'jee'.

I grew up rocking myself to sleep from side to side. Now I still do it but when I'm already asleep. My arms shoot up in the air and my hands clasp together and then I start rocking.

Did the JWs conceal crucial info before your baptism
by greendawn infor those that became jws but weren't born in the cult, do you feel that before baptism the dubs withheld from you information that should have been revealed, things that if you were aware of you wouldn't become a jw in the first place, such as the heartless dfing policy.
perhaps focusing on the promise of paradise earth and eternal life makes us forget to search out possible negative issues and that's part of their trickery.

Hi Greendawn,
There was a jw lady who told me about her disfellowshipped daughter, she mentioned that she didn't speak to her. She told me she'd tell me why another time.
I naively thought that she meant when she got to know me better . I believed that they weren't speaking as a temporary result of a big agument or something.
She did tell me the real reason though, after I'd got baptized.

It just seems that Witnesses are less active these days.
by free2beme ini remember being a teenager and being at friends home on saturdays, and every time you turn around there was a witness knocking at the door.
my non-witness friends would be nice, and say no, as they did not want to insult me.
even though, as a teenager, i was not a witnesses (baptized) and did not make a public show of my connection to people outside of the congregation.

My mum lives in a territory that never gets covered, its a little bit too far away for the witnesses. In my congregation there were only 2 pioneers (married couple) and they only ever did return visits. The rest of the publishers were quite inactive and most went out on a week day when no one was in. There was one zealous ms that went out on a Friday evening and would tell everyone what a good idea it was as everyone was in. He never got anyone interested though.
Whenever the Co was visiting he would say what a waste of time it was doing the doors during the day on weekdays, and if Paul was doing it he would have gone to the nearest town to do street witnessing or the business territory.
He asked all the window cleaners to raise their hands. Then he asked them at what time during the day do they collect their money. Most of them would collect in the evenings when they knew they'd be in. The CO told them that they should be applying that logic to the ministry as the householders lives are more important then their wages.
They still kept going out during the day though. The CO seemed to have a real knack of humiliating people to get them more active but everyone just ignored him.

Armageddon & end of World religions
by Moomin ini was just wondering that in the bible it states that at a time that you do not expect is the time that the end will come.
do you think that for as long as there are end of world religions then there will always be some expecting it at the correct time?
or maybe the religion or the belief that it is near will peter out due to the constant disapointments?

What I mean is, there will always be people expecting the end, therefore that scripture can't be true.
