  Fibermialga sickness (spelling?)

  hi, i was wondering if anyone on the board is familiar with this.

  my father in law seems to have this.

  hes 57 years old and alot of the family thinks hes just a dead beat but some of us know he is really sick.

  Nikki, I also have it. it took years and years and many tests to figure out what was wrong with me. i agree with the moderate exercise and vitamins. very very necessary. i have a sports massage person who i see once a month to help with the pain. that is a relief for a while after seeing him. i would recommend the massage for anyone who has it, however, make sure it's someone who like my guy, is a sports therapist and believes this condition exists. many doctors don't acknowledge fibromyalgia. unfortunately, i have to work full time as i am a single mom of two sons. there are days i can barely get to my office. anti-depressants do also help. there are some books that help deal with this problem. diet is a very big factor in treating this also.

  Going on vacation!!!!!

  we're leaving for two weeks vacation tomorrow morning.

  we'll be finishing up building our cabin.

  the main thing we have to work on is the outhouse and shower house.

  have a wonderful vacation! i'm going on vacation with my two sons starting sunday....can't wait....we'll have an entire week for just the 3 of us! no internet, no phones ringing, no neighbor kids knocking on the door, no working....just fun!

  When do you put a dog down?

  im at my dads house at the moment and they have this dog thats 14 years old, and apparently this brand of dog has an average life expectancy of 10, so shes had a good innings.. now im not a dog owner, so its pretty easy for me to say i think they should put the dog down.

  my dads wife is very sentimental about the dog.

  i would say she was very attached to it, but for all her sentimentality, she has never walked the dog (its always been my dad) and she is not the one who gets up in the night with a mop and bucket - that'd be dad too.

  it's really difficult to do but it sounds like it's past time. the poor dog has no quality of life and is probably in immense pain, they hide the pain well but you can see it in their eyes. i am a dog owner/lover and have had to put a few dogs down. your dad can stay with the dog while the vet administers the medicine. like i said it's hard to watch but it's for the best.

  stuffed peppers.......and one time cold, undercooked overeasy eggs. i didn't eat eggs again for another 15 years and they could and still can only be scrambled cooked hard!

  i know most of you could care less, but for those of us who love dobes, this is a pretty big deal.. i am trying to adopt a 6 year old pure bread intact male who sounds like a gem..my boys are so excited.. the owner should be coming this weekend to drop her dogs and see how i do with them.

  i am beside myself with joy at this point.

  she has chosen me out of all who responded in florida.. please wish me luck!.

  good luck. Dobies are wonderful dogs. I had a red female from 11 years. She bonded with each of my children when they were born. She had the best temperment but was also so watchful of my sons.
