Contempt of court, case in San Diego county really disgusts me!

this case has to be talked about by ever awake jw every apostate everyone.

this case because they refuse to hand over documents the court already knows they have because they handed them over before but heavily redacted, is the icing on the cake!

this case shows thier evil plain and simple.

so i recently posted for the first time and introduced myself.. i have been spending time reading various posts.

some informative, some not so much.. since i've been reading on here, i've read a lot from atheists.

Study article: "Go, and Make Disciples.." is a hot mess

so i hooked into meeting via phone this week to listen in and was shocked at the absurdities mentioned in the study article (2016 may watchtower: "go,..and make disciples of people of all the nations").

the answer is obvious—only jehovah’s witnesses.

the answer the missionary priest gave in no way proves that jws are the only ones "preaching the good news".

What Cofty said. When these standards are applied to future cases, and to appeals of previous cases, a pattern will emerge of negligence, and of just not giving a rat's fanny. That will be enormously expensive. 😁

The 1975 Generation---are they still around?

i was raised as a jw and 1975 expectations were pretty intense.

as i recall, most people did not leave after the failed expectations but many s l o w e d down.

now, i think most of the 1975 witnesses are gone or barely in.. is the older generation still around in the kingdom halls or are they much gone?.

My mother was and is still a die-hard. She texted me just today to watch the June video because I will love it. Something about animals being petted. Then she added that the end is coming soon and it won't be long till my father's resurrected.

Guess I was a wet blanket, because I reminded her that only the Father knows the hour. We don't know if it's coming soon or not. I can't believe an intelligent woman can still be strung along like this, but she's elderly and either doesn't want to know something's rotten, or she switched off her reasoning brain long ago. How does she not say, "Hey, WTH?"

I was sixteen in 1975, and remember the urgent talks and my Kingdumb Haul peers being pulled out of high school because who needed education? Most of them left, just like I did. Most of us got some education and good jobs, and now our elderly parents are struggling and need financial help from us. Yet, they still go to meetings and rave about the encouraging videos. I'm baffled.

mark sanderson gives a talk regarding his visit to belgium for the memorial this year and was travelling from korea to munich to brussels, belgium on the day of the belgium terrorist attacks.he cannot wipe the smirk on his face as he relates his experience, with no regard whatsoever of all those unfortunately affected by the attacks.

in fact, he personally found god's hand affecting him personally, allowing him to attend the memorial as planned and a kh dedication.he is that privileged during his flight travels that internet was available to him, enabling him to catch up on current news and to contact branch's.

Being Bad in the Kingdom Hall

what things did (do) you or someone you know do in the kingdom hall that was a no-no?.

i remember in the 80s when, during the meeting, three friends and i were breakdancing in the foyer.

3 out of 4 us are happily out of that organization.. as i was trudging through my fade and attending meetings, i sometimes dwelled on how much time and money i wasted during my years as a jw.

Sisters who touch the microphone unauthorized must be presumptuous and haughty. They do not know their place in Kingdom Haul arrangements. Seriously, that's the most cultish, ridiculous thing ever. What were you supposed to do, wait like deer in the headlights for an approved brother to finally come? You saw a common sense solution and handled an awkward moment with grace, shame on you.

Cart "Witnessing"

besides being a waste of time for those doing it, and being an easy way for the society to inflate its reports of time spent in the ministry, cart witnessing is also taking up space.

i live in a hot city in brazil.

today, the jws decided to set up their cart in the shady spot of the bus stop, where people going to work have to wait for the bus.. ugh!.

Thousands of people go by each day...but does anyone stop? They really live in their fantasy world. Maybe people's hearts can only be scanned when passing the special magnetic field surrounding the cart?
