  What Do You Do for Work / Career?

  i've been on the board for quite a while now and was wondering, what do my fellow jwdr's do for work, employment or career?

  me, i'm in probably one of the most hated careers in america right now.

  (not gonna tell you what it is either) but how about you, what do you do to earn a little coin?.

  I've been self employed all of my adult life, made great money, no complaints, but....the one thing that's been missing, and I feel it tugging at me all of the time is a degree, and tonight I figured out what kind of degree I want. It's called and eMBA, anyone heard of it? It's an Exectuive Master of Business Administration degree. I love the mechanics of a business. I like to know what makes it tick, what makes it the most money, and how that process works. Looking back, I now wish I could have been an investment banker. But...that was not to be since I was a Witness and was not permitted to think of such worldly desires. But...I'm 44 now, and there's no time like the present to Git er' done!

  Hey, that's me! When a trade goes wrong. One time I lost $8,000.00 in about three minutes. That was painful.

  he was giving the part about giving your riches to jehovah the watchtower.

  you could tell there was a conflict going on in his head, while he was giving it.

  you know he probaly has an idea that "jehovah provides things, so don't worry about it" .

  OK, NVR got it, I'm a mortgage broker, that's only cuz he cheated, I told him a long time ago. I'm pretty sure it's the most hated job in America right now. But....I made a lot of people happy too. Gigilo is good idea since the mortgage industry slowing down. Does that pay pretty good? LOL!

  it is still summer in the northern hemisphere, school has only just gotten started, and the leaves haven't even turned yet.

  Wow! I'm impressed by the diversity your occupations. Stay at mom's never get a big paycheck, but we'd pay em' all we could for what they do. Everyone was trying to guess what I do but that wasn't the purpose of the thread, I want to know what you do. I really enjoyed getting to know all of you a little better. But....no one really guessed what I do, one person came close. I still ain't tellin', you'd REALLY hate me. On the other hand, I did have a lady kiss me one time because she got so excited.

  What is Your Scariest Experience in Life?

  i'd have to say mine was when i was at the wee age of 8.. my siblings and i were out swimming with some friends and their parents.

  what i remember mostly was that i got seperated very quickly from the rest of the group and drifted into the deeper end.

  i found it getting more and more difficult to swim with each passing second.

  You too? The gal, yes I said a gal (whilst I too was out in field service), that pulled that rabbit out the hat didn't just pull out a gun, it was 12 gauge shotgun. But that wasn't my scariest, not even close.

  What is your opinion of prayer?

  Many have said prayer is a waste of time, it doesn't work, etc. etc. So...even if I have proof, via some physical proof, such as the request in the prayer included something tangible....you *still* wouldn't believe it? I have had such proof, and I *know* that a loving, caring heavenly father exists and that he is eager to help the one asking. I know because I have experienced so many times a prayer that was answered, I can attribute the results to none other than our heavenly father. I have had situations where my first thought was, "that's a coincidence, that couldn't really happen by Jehovah's hand", or could it? Yep, I've had those conversations with myself and the *only* that comes up is, Jehovah did in fact, answer my prayer.
