I NEED YOUR HELP WITH LAWSUIT AGAINST THE WATCHTOWER
by SHUNNED FATHER ini need your help to continue my lawsuit against the watchtower society and the doctor who the watchtower society arranged for to give my daughter arsenic.
the wts lawyer, hlc members and the doctor deceived bethany and lied to her, convincing her that arsenic would cure her.
bethany was convinced that arsenic could cure her and was curing her.

CO Visit Nightmares
by Tish inso i grew up as a jw and my family had no elders etc so we were not the type to have the honour of co visiting for lunch etc.. so when the opportunity arrived 5 yrs ago i tried to do it all properly.
my husband had to go into work at the last minute leaving me with a baby with chicken pox and a son off from school with a twisted ankle, my daughter was high on astma meds which mean't she was throwing roast potatos across the table at the co's wife whilst i did my best be the hostess with the mostest.. sadly my hubbie at the time did not get made a mini as the elders had hoped until i could control the children!!.
has anyone else had any funny things happen to them whilst entertaining cos?

The lady that did my book study brought the CO's wife to my house about 5 minutes after my husband and I had just decided that our marraige was over. I told him to tell them I didn't want any company, I was sobbing horribly. The biatch that did my study would not leave!!! I was sooooooooo pissed. They stood outside for 20 minutes, so I finally went out, the car was full of people, and there she stood with the CO's wife. Man, I was embarassed, pissed, you name it. The CO's wife says "I don't know what's going on here, but pray to Jehovah, he'll fix it" yeah right! gggggrrrrr!

We had a brother that was on heavy duty drugs for most of his life, before becoming a JW. He used to raise his hand all the time to answer a question, if he didn't get called on, he would shout out the answer.
Before and after the meetings, he would come and stand in front of you, with is hands together staring, smiling so big, you could see all the teeth in his mouth, but wouldn't say a word, just stared, drove me nuts. I used to hide from him.

Movie: The Truman Show = Jehovahs Witnesses? Anyone seen this movie?
by Trojan inby now, i realize there are a couple of good movies that help to understand the situation a jw finds himself in, once he finds out the truth about "the truth".
like: the village, the island, stepford wifes.
i find that these movies help me to understand the situation of being trapped in a cult and the mixed emotions about finding out and the courage and strenght needed to leave.

Complaints Against JW's in Local Paper
by Chloe ini've been amused at the verbal warfare going on in my local newspaper.
they have a column on saturdays and sundays where people can write in anonymously to say what they feel.
here is what someone wrote in a couple of weeks ago:

If you were not raised in the truth.....
by jambon1 inif you were not raised in the truth but came in as an adult, how long did it take for you to realise that what you were taught in the bible study was`nt being practised in the congs.
for me, i realised things were`nt quite right before i was baptised, probobly within 2 years of association with the org.
when i became more heavily involved after baptism i realised that some elders/pioneers had drink problems and were involved regularly in 'secret' serious sexual misconduct.

Luna you sound like me, downing ourselves, we're not doofuses, we were just brain washed. After about the 3rd or 4th year is when I started to notice that nothing I was taught was actually the way it was being done. I was in for about 7 and a half, to 8 years. Never baptized thankfully do to smoking. I guess that's the only good thing I can say about smoking, LOL
Although, unlike the jerks there that snuck smoking, I was open and honest about it, but you know how they are, liars, liars, liars
