Good question, she just really wants me to come. I really don't want to step into a KH though, it's sort of like how a JW would feel about walking into a haunted house on Haloween night, they would have the creeps, that's how the KH makes me feel now, I guess because of all the horrible things I've learned and experienced

I have a question, Help!! LOL One of my best friends who is still a very active JW is getting married in March. The second head elder from the KH I used to go to is DJ'ing her reception. His wife is who I used to study with. And she is one hard individual. VERY judgemental person. She will be there also. I really don't want to go to the actual wedding in the KH. The thought of it actually makes my skin crawl. I thought, I would just go to the reception, and I'm wondering if that's even a good idea, would you go? If you did, how would you act?

JDub Rapper
by Clam inafter seeing kw13's post about rap in the kh i began looking through a list of famous jdubs http://www.adherents.com/largecom/fam_jw.html , i hadn't realised that the rap artist jah rule had been a jdub.
i wondered if the gb would let such a "brother" put together a rap promo for the society, something along the lines of.
hes one bad brother hes the big creator.

No JWs in sight....what happened to them?
by kid-A ini have been living in my new house since november.
i have been home every weekend, saturday and sunday mornings.
i live in a big city, in a densely housed area.. there has not been a single jw door-knocker this entire time!!!!

Y'all are lucky, I had 2 beeting on my door 2 months ago, on Thanksgiving day. I've actually been contemplating on having a sign made to put on my door, that says "no religion or soliciting". I've lived here for 18 years, and I don't think I've gone one whole year with out them knocking???

I did it a year ago. I had left my husband twice for a couple of months. When I came back after the second time I left, the mortgage was severly behind, (since he never paid it only I did). I had to put off paying my credit cards and everything else, trying to catch up the mortgage. He promised he would then get a job, and he didn't, so I had no choice but to file. I was either that, or have my wages garnished by the government. Then how would I pay a mortgage.
It really sucks, I'm paying rent on a house that is a cracker jack box, and the rent is outragious. I want my own home bad, and can't buy one. It really sucks to be in this position, but if I hadn't, I would still be in a bad position. If you can do it and keep your home, I would say do it, then again, don't know the details of your situation. If you would like to PM me, maybe I can give some adivice?

The WT is again reminding women of their "proper role"
by mjarka911 inthe 3/1/06 wt questions from readers is discussing 1 cor 14:33,34 and explains the phrase "keep silent".
after the usual claptrap and disclaimers (like how sometimes women have to substitute for baptized men in a congregation setting) - it concluded by saying women keep silent by "not raising argumentative questions that could challenge the authority of those who teach.
" how do the women swallow this stuff and still feel grateful for "rich spiritual food"?

I hated this stuff too, katiek. Nothing like being a single parent, working, taking care of the house, the yard, the car, and hauling everybody's butt to the KH three times a week all by yourself, and then being lectured on how you are the "weaker vessel" and that you should "keep silent". They are so full of crap.
I lived the same life, except, while married and living with a Jdumbass. But I was to keep silent...............
I did for 8 and half years, now I'm SCREAMING bloody hell!!! He and his congregation can kiss my ass! LOL
