September KM - 70 alterations in Revelation Climax Book
by dozy ini can't find a thread on this subject yet - if there is one , please delete this one.. the september kingdom ministry has a 4 page insert detailing the 70 alterations in the revelation climax book which is due to be studied at the book study shortly.
i'll provide scans if anyone is interested.. i will leave it up to more experienced analysts to examine the reasons for specific changes , but just a few brief observations for now:.
p32 box - "they were completely exonerated" changed to "charges against them were dropped" - interesting change of terminology for the 1918 watchtower eight.

I just called my mom and casually mentioned that a sister's husband who is an elder already has the OKM for sept and that they are 70 changes, I said, "Wow, that's a lot mom, don't you think? I mean we've studied this already a couple times. You would think that it would be accurate." She said, "Well sometimes the brothers can make mistakes, plus they just want everything to be up to date for us, so they are probably just adding some things that were not added before." Talk about being naive, huh?

Getting Hitched
by fullofdoubtnow ini just want to share this with you all.. a few weeks ago, trev (dedpoet) popped the question, and of course i accepted, so we are getting married!!
we have been busy getting things started since then, hence the slight delay in posting our news.
we aren't in a particular hurry, as we have no desire to have children.

Yeah, I guess at our DC, they CO said that people put flyers on our car (I can only imagine what they said) and the brothers were cleaning them off of our cars while we were in the convention.

stillA,
Honey, go to college. Stay in it. Like you said, you are not sure what to do, if you ever feel like you don't want to be in it, then you can just drop out, but stay in it. I am pushing myself through it by a rope. It is getting harder because the people are starting to look down upon it again and they are saying how I shouldnt be in school, but most of us know that the time isn't near. We know its a scare tactic because the time has been near since hell the end of the 1800s, so go to school -
Better yet... do what you feel is right and what you want to do. We can't give you the answer, but I can give you my opinion and that is go to school. If you need someone to talk to, you know I am here. I miss you girl! Haven't seen you in AIM lately.

The parking really sucks in Rockford and its definitely not as nice as the coliseum, but I think its bigger. The hotels are definitely a lot worse. Many people did complain about finding things in their rooms around the Rockford area. Although each day there were over 5,000 in attendance. We drove this year, and it was terrible, the sister following us rear ended us yesterday. I thought it was quite amusing and I got to miss the first hour of the convention which was even more refreshing, lol.
They had us say I to a pledge at the end of the day. I was definitely not happy at all. And the whole car ride back, all I heard was, "How refreshing it was that Jehovah allowed us to come here and get the spiritual food and fellowship that we needed." It was really sickening... They are making it seem like the end is coming next year or something. They are stressing that the young ones "remember their creator" and that "we need not worry about the little things." They even went as far as saying be careful about your healthcare... It really pisses me off.

Yeah, I am kinda sad... I'm from Madison, and we got spoiled with it there, so its a hassle driving every day because my mother is so anal about our dog so we can't stay in a hotel. Next year, if I go, I'm renting my own hotel and I'm going to have an apostafest party during the night to keep all the other witnesses up.

Was there anyone in your congregation that you couldn't get to like?
by JH ini won't use the word "hate", but were there some in your congregation that you just couldn't get along with?.
i recall a brother in my congregation, he was single about 50 years old, and he never smiled, and seemed very rigid and he loved to criticize and say the opposite of everything i would say, when we talked together.. i went to the mall a few weeks ago, and came face to face with him, and he totally ignored me.
so, then i thought to myself, that maybe he is dfd.

There's this brother in my congregation who never can just say hi, its always, "Hi there my inactive sister." "How come you aren't coming home from school more often?" (maybe because I live an hour and a half away) "Its nice to see you at this, I guess you do have some of sort respect for Jehovah." And I think to myself, if that is the attitude you are going to have, I don't want to come to the meetings at all. Asshole!

They said that they dont have them in Madison because too many people left the convention site and they weren't suppose to. Plus they wanted a change (I think). I dont know... all I do know is that I am ready to go crazy. But the one thing I do question (trust me I still don't believe its the "truth") is how this organization can get everyone to do the same thing worldwide, you know? Oh and I got yelled at for not being ready to get married into the damn religion. Screw this! I'm not getting married at 21 and having a baby at 22, that is not how I am. Sorry, I dont want to marry young, I want to get to know the person first and I want to live with them first.
