If I ever were to have kids, I would teach them what I believe, but I will also encourage them to seek out their own beliefs because I want them to be their own person. Its not fair for me to force my children to believe something that I believe if they don't want to. And I will love them unconditionally no matter what they decide, unlike my parents.

You know how I feel about the girl who is a few french fries short of a happy meal! Its like she is trying to make you jealous so you can realize "what you have lost." I've pulled that game before, but just don't let her get to you. Its not worth it! And she obviously has proven she's not worth it.

Online Dating
by FreeGirl2006 in*sigh* i was seeing someone for several months, but it is not working out.
so i went back to my only way of meeting men thus far--online dating sites.
i have had some really cool experiences, but i think i am getting burnt out....if i read one more email from a guy that reads "u r booteful and i wud luv to chat with u and then maybe we go out and eat" (or my personal favorite today--"you are eye-popping"--i am busty and the current picture reveals that little fact) i think i will puke!

Has anyone found dating as an EX JW difficult?
by sweetstuff injust curious as to what difficulties have faced people dating as an ex jw.
myself, i have noticed the glazed over look in a guy's eyes when you try to explain why your family doesn't celebrate the holidays with you etc.
new to this board, so if this has been well covered before, please forgive me.

My mom got disfellowshipped.
by reneeisorym inmy mom called tonight to tell me that she got disfellowshipped!!!!.
of course to me this is like the greatest news ever and to her its the worst ever so i'm seriously having a hard time being sympathetic.
i just know this could mean she's out for good and it definately means i've got my mom back.

Learning About Self
by R.F. ini must say that i haven't had an internal struggle with myself before as i've had in recent months.
i'm learning so much about myself....about the kind of person i truly am, more about my flaws, my weaknesses, my strengths, the person i want to be, etc.
i'm learning more and more about having a more realistic view of dealing with life.

I think that's amazing that you can do this RF. As you know with me, I'm afraid of change and I'm afraid of pushing myself to get to the point where you are, but I am amazed at how much you have grown. Its definitely something I wish I could do.
