I agree with all of you and although I was tempted to post what I think is rude, I then think that it would just make me as bad as the others... so I really do agree with all of you in one way or another.

Help!!!!! How do I get out of vacation?
by collegegirl21 inokay, so spring break is coming up soon.
i just got off of the phone with my jw mother (i'm still in the religion), and i found out that although i'm in college and was planning on going somwhere else for my spring break, that i now have to go down to memphis, tn with her, my dad and my 2 non-believing aunts and 1 non-believing uncle in an suv from wisconsin.
i then have to stay with them for 5 days while my granddad and my mom fight over scriptures (my granddad is a 7th day adventist) and do nothing.

This might sound weird, but I was never popular with the people my age. When I was a teenager since my parents thought I was "too popular" in school and took me out of school, I pioneered and so I was always popular among the older people. They said I have always had the mature mentality. So instead of hanging out with my friends on the weekends, I would hang out with the older people and their babies.

The Worst Public Talk Ever

Any public talk except the one I heard on marriage. I'm not saying the public talk was right, but he wasn't like the other elders that gave the talks. We laughed a lot for his talk and it was entertaining. But every other talk that I had to sit through was the worse one that I heard.

Most of it is business and its not based on love for god, its based on getting numbers in so it looks like we're giving god and jesus love. Frankly I and I know lots of you, think that its BS....

seventh grader's science project turns up some disturbing results," you might have second thoughts about drinking anything with ice in it at restaurants, etc.
it's pretty disgusting, i think.

What's with the 607 thing ?
by A Paduan inthere have been a number of threads regarding the critical importance of the wrong (as usual) date of 607 - being the "reason to leave the borg".
i don't get that - never mind that their entire doctrine, prophecies, idea of love, predictions and 'truth' is all bogus, or that their estranged reasonings regarding blood and shunnings cause death and social catastrophe, and that simply they lie and are blatantly hypocritical - providing a plethora of reasons to steer well clear.

I completely agree with you. But it is the basis for the beginning of the argument that I am going to have with my parents on my way out the door. So that's a start for me.
