  Someone stole my mom's wallet AT THE KINGDOM HALL, when she got up to use the bathroom. It was some low life "sister" and she was disfellowshipped shortly after that. But not before she ran up my mom's credit cards.

  The loving kindness is exemplary, isn't it?

  High School Graduation

  okay - since larry isn't gonna ask it... i will.. did you attend your high school graduation?

  cap & gown stuff - the whole nine yards?.

  it wasn't even a consideration, either.. heck... i wasn't allowed to go to senior 'honors' night - where i was elected to receive some sort of recognition.

  Graduation parties were big in my area. Probably because it was the only time we got parties...with balloons, gifts, cake etc. It was like 18 birthdays all rolled into one.

  A Stumbling Block to Faith

  i posted this on a couple of other boards but as so far no jw has responded to the points i made.

  "god disposed of jesus' body, not allowing it to see corruption and thus preventing its becoming a stumbling block to faith.

  " the watchtower, november 15, 1991 page 3 if god had an angel roll the stone away from the tomb and created different bodies for jesus "over 500 witnesses actually saw jesus alive following his resurrection, and his faithful apostles were eyewitnesses as he began his ascent back to heaven and then disappeared from their view in a cloud.

  Thanks cyd....where I'm from (Southern Monaco) everyone seems to prefer Texas Pete. But I'm a Tabasco girl myself....or Crystal Louisiana Hot Sauce. Yummy!

  free2beme, I would hazard a guess that it's probably closest to our A-1.

  You know the things I can't get my head around that seem to always be part of a full English breakfast.....baked beans and blood pudding.

  as some of you know my mother has asked me for my beliefs twice since nullifying my baptism.

  i sent her a long, long letter chronicling the 1975 issue, vaccines, organ transplants and 1914/607.

  Did you ever write an excuse on the back of your service report?

  when i joined the jw's, i remember an elder stating that when you do less than the average number of hours in your month, mark the reason why in the back of the service report sheet that you give at the end of each month.. did anybody else receive these instructions way back in the late 80's?

  For cat lovers: How to decide when to put the old sick cat down...

  i have an almost 18 year old cat, a manx calico named spunky.

  at birth, she was rejected by her mother and so my mom dropper fed this kitten until it was big enough to eat from a bowl, and then the cat moved in with us.

  my daughter was about 3. she's always been my cat.

  Having the vet come to your house is such a wonderful idea and one I wish I had known a few years ago. I had a cat that hated the car. She had had a stroke and her heart was failing so I made the decision to put her to sleep. Well, the trauma of being in the car stressed her out so much she died in the car on the way to the vet. It was the most horrible experience. I would have paid any amount of money to have someone come to my house had I know that option was available.
