I was a naive country girl,so didnt tell anyone about it at the time..This guy was one of those elders w/his own construction buisness,a plane,a cb,{lol}and a VERY pretty wife.He was always pulling one of the young teens into the back room for council...I heard he got df'd just a few years back for shady business deals..my gawd,if only they had known...

What were you disfellowshipped for?
by aquagirl injust curious,if anyone dosent mind sharing..myself,id been out in the real world for 11 years,married twice,etc etc,and the 'trio of guys in bad suits' came over one night and told me that i was being charged w/adultery and fornication..my then boyfriend,and i laughed so hard that we forgot to sic the dog on 'em...funny,cause one of the guys id lived with,a few years prior,an elders son,not baptized,but in good standing,never got even so much as a stern talking to..i remember one of the last meetings i went to as a teenager.the 'trio" came to my parents house and said that i wasnt to come to meetings braless anymore,that it was disturbing the brothers and making them have impure thoughts..and that by me being in a band,in the 'world',i was opening myself to satan...what a bunch of weirdos.especialy since one of my "fondest" memories is of being out in feield service,alone w/an elder,and him having his pants open in the car,and his penis sticking out the whole time.i was like 10,and wasnt sure exactly what the issue was,guess i was a bit naive,but he kept touching it and looking at me..this was a big cheese elder at the time too..very highly thought of and all..again,what a bunch of wierdos....

A 1975 story
by TooBad TooSad inwhile i was in high school in the mid 60's i was told that the end was so near that i would not get to graduate from high school so i should not be concerned about being drafted due to the war in vietnam.
well i got drafted but did not pass my physical due to a medical problem.. i then considered go to school in the late 60's to enter the medical field.
i was encouraged by the elders not to do this because the end is so near and why get schooling for a profession that you will not need in a few years?

And to add,That the thing that really pisses me off is the refusal of an education..I was pulled out of public school 3 times.and couldnt even breathe the word college.I know you can do it on your own,as an adult,but support as a child,growing up,would have been nice..I say that all of us that grew up and were refused access to higher education should plant a lawsuit on the wtbts..They should have to compensate for what the kids were denied.

The jws DID say 1975 for sure..they were looking at Sept or Oct...I remember that I was in a hurry to get baptized.I was 12,and didnt want to get 'left behind".My girlfriends and I were doing the countdown,We sort of pictured a dramatic Charleton Heston-like scene..When it didnt happen by spring 1976,we were told,"any day now"..and that "no one knows the day nor the hour".hmmmm...

I was shunned today in the post office.
by outoftheorg inwell this poor jw walked to the table to sort out the throw aways just as i headed there also.. i saw him and smiled, then he dropped his head to not look at me.
we both sorted out the things for the trash bin and were only about 20 or so inches apart.. i remember him coming to my house when my daughters were young girls and he wanted to get aquainted.. maybe i should have spoken to him but i just looked at him and he refused to even look back.. how sad.
he always has this really sad disappointed look on his face.

Two years ago,my house exploded and burned due to a bad furnace.I was at my boyfriends recording studio that evening, and decided to spend the night there.The fire dept has a jw on it and when they saw that my car wasnt at the house, they called my sister to ask her info about me.She didnt know anything about me because she has refused to speak to me for years,{Im df}..I never heard from her after the fire,not to see if I was alive or needed anything or whatever.My fellow musicians {some whom I barely knew} threw a big benefit for me and were very kind.Two years later all is well,new home,renewed sense of community.But,from My own sister,not a word..God would be pleased....Who would be proud to be part of an organization that advocates that???

from as far back as i remember,being superior to 'worldly ones' was drilled in to my head..its almost embarrassing in retrospect.i see it now,w/the rest of my family{devout dubs}and its hard to not speak out..there is a hardware store in a town near here and one of the elders sons works there.he was given the old heave ho{df} but sniveled his way back in..i always try to make a point of having him assist me.and always ask lotsa questions.he seems semi intelligent,so im not sure why he worked so hard to get reinstated.maybe he tried sex once and didnt like it..hey,its their game,not mine..im awfully glad to have found you all,as no one who has not been thru this can have any idea..i mean,it sounds absurd,dosent it? shunning ones own family..

Found some older WTS publications!
by cyberdyne systems 101 ini was going through some old boxes in my attic and found some older wts publications, mainly spanning late 60's to 90's, but among those was a couple from the 40's and 50's, but the real scoop was the book 'riches' by none other than jf rutherford!
i'm hoping to witness first hand some of the witnesses flip flops on doctrine.. does anyone know if there is anything significant in this book that i should look out for when reading it?.

there are things i chose to take with me.
for example, i have used the sales training to my advantage over the years.

I took some good sales skills,again,due to door to door stuff at 4 years old..Also i had to wear a big brace on my back for a few years which made me look pitiful so i was in high demand to go in field service w/the others..People always gave an extra quarter or two when they saw the poor kid in a body brace.lol..also,i learned to twist anything that happens to my benefit.I learned to weasel out of things,with the 15 years of wtbts training{no offense to weasels}.I dont have a lot of fear or respect for "those in office".which might be a good or bad thing.I spent one morning out in service ,when i was about 10,with an elder who had his dick hanging out of his pants in the car.Just he and i,so i guess i got out of it easy. Since then,i sort of sneer at ''suits" and those in "control".Now,I am in control...

Dad very seriously ill..... How did I find out?

i have a virus that settled in my nerves (very very painful and no it isn't herpes), and now two weeks in i caught a very bad upper respiritory bronchities.
i spent my day in bed as i have been for most of two weeks now with no end in sight (dammit).. not trying for sympathy points, but this just isn't a good time for this!.

I can relate.My father was an elder for 40 years.I got baptized in 1972 bcz the "end" was coming.I was a very naive 12 years old,but wanted to make my parents happy..I got booted in 1990.Now,my parents{both JWs}need a lot of help and no one in their church will lift a finger.Ive actualy called their elder to ask if i could buy a phone card so the congregation would call my parents once in a while.I was told that that wasnt needed and that they would call.That was a month ago..No calls.My sister,a jw in good standing,{human being in bad standing}dosent know or care if they are dead or alive.All they have is me..and they are tattled on and 'warned' if they spend more than the needed amount of time w/me..In the "Tending your Flock" elders manual,there is a paragraph that clearly states that it is not necessary for someone to be disfellowshipped for associating w/a disfellowshipped family member as long as there is no spiritual guidance offered,on support for the original wrongdoing...Why does this change?This is supposed to be a loving flock?For this i am supposed to give up my true friends and life? I think not..I will continue to spend time w/my folks,and not play the jw game...their rules,their game..my rules,my game...
