Can someone help?
by bethel anorexic inthis is my first post.. i was wondering if someone here can help me out.. i stopped attending meetings a while ago and i'm not comfortable with the idea of having the congregation elders in possession of my publisher card and other records.
would someone be willing to help me retrieve my records so i can just disappear completely from the jw-world?
perhaps someone here who is a current elder or an ex-elder?

Plucking rafters from thine eye...
by Crumpet inokay anyone got a cure for styes - i'm not sure it is a stye - just my eye is twitching and its really annoying.
anyway i can stop it short of pegging my eyelid?
i am not going to america with a twitch - you'll think all us english folks have that problem.. .

by JH ini for one, would blindly trust just about anyone on this forum, just the fact of knowing that you already were a jw.. does this mean that jw's in general are better people or are we a very close bunch of people?.

no.if your a dub,then yes,by all means.but if you are a happy friendly person w/no ulterior motives,the jws are a pale simpering scared people.and yes,i DO believe that the mental illness is what creates such a strong bond..like shoe fetishists,or polo players or auto body experts.or folks that have had lobotomys...they feel some sort of 'kinship',,,interesting question!

df'd ,yet still being gunned for by the remaining elder..whats the point?
by aquagirl ini was df'd like 15 years ago..of the three idiot elders that came to see me,only one is still alive..i just found out this past weekend,that he is still gunning for me...like he still has it in for me and uses my family "still dubs"as vehicles for this petty revenge..now what could it possibly be?
i barely even knew this loser.he was butt ugly,had a nasty personality and an ugly wife..had two nice sons tho,one of whom is df'd..id completely forgotten about him till this weekend,someone mentioned that he still bodes me ill..any one have any experiance w/childish revenging elders?like,im out of the cult,what more could they want?maybe he found out that i sold my soul for great wealth,fame and beauty??
?did i forget to tip him?ummm,what does one tip an elder these days,anyway?

What did you think of "new light"?
by reneeisorym inyou kind of get to a point where you know all the answers when you are a jw.
you don't really have to research much more because its the same stuff they present over and over again.
"jehovah's reminders" but i kind of looked forward to new light.
