I have a boatload of jw books..anyone wants any,just pay the shipping and ill give em to ya..they gum up my wood stove.and we have to pay to dump trash here...pm me,and ill see if ive got it..sold some on ebay,but there were a few folks who would bid 'em up and not pay.this happened many mnay times,and even tho they got busted and banned from ebay,they alwasy started again...so,hey,im giving them away.just pay the media mail shipping...

Are JWs allowed to go to wedding of disfellowshiped child?
by freetosee insince i've been out for so long i would like to ask if there has been any change regarding the association with disfellowshiped.
can active jws go to the wedding of their df'd sons or daughters?
any policy change?.

i was told,that it was a matter of ones own conscience..the same jws that were harrassing my friends parents for attending her wedding.were encouraging their son to leave his legal wife,and to take up w/his mothers best friends daughter...the reason was,get this,you ll love this,was that the soonto be ex was fat and a bad house keeper..now,this was ok.but her parents,going to her wedding was not...hmmmm

by minimus inyou know, i knew a lot of bethelites and every one of them loved their booze.
as an elder, i would entertain alot of the cos, dos and bethelites and their wives.
it was not unusual for the wives to get loaded while they were at my house!

depended on who you were and who you hung out with..the elders and their lapdogs,all drank,tons..my girlfriends and i used to smoke some rope in my ol/barracuda b4 the meetings..then we'd draw charicators of the speakers during their talks..man,i wish i could find some of them.ill bet they were great!!!!

Has anyone read the book 'The Shining'?
by lfcviking ini'm not much of a reader really, but i'm halfway through reading this book at the moment and i am really enjoying it.
stephen king has such a wild imagination, he really is a truly talented man.. i loved the film aswell, i think jack nicholson's acting in this film is sublime.
jack's acting combined with king's imagination, and stanley kubrick's directing combine to form a true masterpiece.. any other fans of this book/film?.

by Nosferatu init's quite rare (or even non-existant) that we get to read the feelings and experiences of a faithful jw who is still in, and has not been influenced by apostate literature.
however, i have in my posession a journal written by a jw; a single woman in her 20s named kim.
i came into posession of her journal back in the mid-90s when i was still in myself.
