Also,using the bible to make a point to someone who obviously dosent believe in the charm and mystique of the bible seems a bit counterproductive,no? I remember arguing w/dubs and other rabid religious types and their only fallback,often,was,"Because it says so in the Bible"!!! Now,think about that for a second.Its absurd! Its like arguing with a non-football fan about which playerbest.It dosent matter! Because they dont care,and dont play that game! So,when you are trying to prove gods validity or non validity{is that a word?}to an atheist,using a bible to do it,isnt really the most productive way to sell your product.Just my humblest of opinions....

they still looked to me to be 'good people' but misguided.
as time went on, though the misguided feature remained, the 'good people' supposition faded.

Wow,an interesting discussion for sure.I shed the idea of a "sky person god" years ago.Right about the time I found out the truth about Santa,"AH!!!"but you say,"one cannot PROVE the nonexixtance of Santa"! Thats true I guess....An interesting take on it for sure..As I get older,I am beginning to realize that we are all our own gods,if we so desire such a thing.Who loves me,takes care of me,thinks of me and for my personal benefit all of the time?ME!!! the cult is slowly taking my family apart

my wife is under pressure from her parents to push away from me.
the anniversay card they gave her(not me) was nothing more than jw propaganda, parts were actually highlighted.

Found an oddly shaped rock would like some help if possible
by sabastious ini was at a nearby lake this summer and i came across a peculiar triangle shaped rock.
it looks man made, but i have no resources/money to check out what it is.
so i took pictures of it.

My dad and I founs an odd rock in the woods about 5 years ago.It was the size of a watermelon,obviously manmade and had a hole drilled thru it.i got intough w.the University{free!} and sent them pics of it.They then had an archeological expert come out and it turned out to be a native american canoe anchor!!! They would dive from rafts for waterlilly bulbs,and they used this type of anchor!!!! I still have it,altho my dad and the big black Lab who helped us drag it out of the woods are gone.Keep trying! It might be something cool!!!

So an old friend from the hall called me today....
by shakyground inhe said he wanted to know how i was doing and what was going on with me.
i knew that it was only a matter of time before he started asking about me not being to the hall in like 3 months and him trying to bring me back into the fold.
and in about less than a minute he started telling me about how everyone at the hall misses me and asks about me.

Since Leaving the JW's - Have you Changed your Medical Contact Person ?
by flipper inin case of a really serious medical emergency- it's something to seriously consider.
otherwise former aquaintances like jw elders in your former congregations or allegedly well meaning jw relatives who may have been listed by you as your emergency contacts might try running interference regarding the medical treatment you receive !
i finally changed my emergency medical contacts a few years ago legally to my non-witness wife, my non-witness mother in law, and my non-witness adult son.

Quirky,you can specify that you have no visitors except.....The hospital will try to honor this.I booted all dubs out of my mums room,calls,visits,cards,all out the door.

Constantly.For strange stuff,like stealing sterio systems out of drugstores{wtf???} and driving around w/carloads of worldly people{well},going braless,being in a band w/'men',it was endless.After I left,my dad,an elder himself,got turned in,by my sister,for going to my last wedding.Amazing.I think it might have started him on that slippery road to doubt tho,which is ok w/me.My mum got reported for having been seen having lunch w.me at a restaurant..AND for having a gazing ball in her garden{which I bought for her"...lol
