  hi, i've finally decided to make a post, after lurking for a while and even lurking for a while after i signed up.

  .

  could anyone tell me about that blue book, shining as illuminators in the world, the pioneer book, does anyone know where you would get it online, in pdf, word, html format?

  Any Tricks or Tips for getting around on crutches??

  does anyone have any tricks or tips for getting around on crutches??.

  i did a stupid thing friday afternoon and ended up in the emergency room with a broken ankle and a torn up knee.

  i'm now on crutches - lucky me... .

  I did a stupid thing Friday afternoon and ended up in the emergency room with a broken ankle and a torn up knee. I'm now on crutches - lucky me...

  I live alone and - since my move - now have a two story house.

  It's not quite as much fun as you might think.

  Does anyone have any tricks or tips for the simple things in life - like bathing and getting dinner to the table while using crutches and keeping all weight off of a leg? Something is torn in my knee (MRI later this week will tell how much damage) and the knee cannot support any weight. (The good news is that the knee doesn't hurt - it doesn't function, but it doesn't hurt. The ankle hurts all the time.)

  So, how to get my hair washed? How to get dinner to the table?? How to pick up trash, etc? How do you get the laundry to the washing machine without making 30 trips from the bedroom?

  I'm looking for any and all tips, tricks, suggestions, and - of course - sympathies.

  PS: If you happen to be driving by, could I maybe hitch a ride to the market?? It's my right leg, which means I can't drive either...

  This is an odd example of a Witness at my door, any one heard of this?

  about two weeks ago i was in the front yard on a saturday and washing one of the cars.

  i looked down the street and saw two woman in dresses walking from house to house, with a young child in a suit.

  of course, i knew they were witnesses and i knew they would be at my door soon.

  I knew that lists were collected (for other languages, too) but have never seen it done as the sole topic of conversation.

  My last months out in service were similar in that I did not promote WTS doctrine. I stuck with the bible - and just the Bible.

  Breast Surgery - Update

  well i had my surgery on friday.

  i don't know what i was so nervous about, it wasn't bad at all.

  i'm a little sore but the pain meds help alot.

  That wait is the worst part of any of it. I hope you can take a few days off to rest and refresh and celebrate - even if it's just some time on a hammock somewhere.

  Special Campaign announced for September: Creation vs. Evolution

  we had a boe letter read recently.

  the september 2006 awake will be 100% dedicated to the "creation vs. evolution" issue.. even the "young people ask" article will be something like "how can i defend my belief in creation in school?

  also, i think one of the articles is entitled "does the bible support the notion that the earth was created in 6 24-hour days?".

  Yeah. I like it. It needs to sound very upbeat and to-the-point. Not preachy at all and certainly mustn't go off an tangent.

  Kudra -

  One way to get a copy is to post a thread asking someone to scan a few pages. I don't know when that issue would be released, though. Is it usually 6 weeks before the mag date??

  I think this would be a good one.

  Now we just need someone with an anonomous (and innocous sounding) address willing to compile the mailing list. Seems that I've seen a few people here send email blitzes for other aposta-campaigns.

  Any volunteers??

  Maybe it's time for an apostate blitz campaign...??

  I would propose a very brief email to all jw's and interested persons.

  Heading: CORRECTION pg xx [New Evolution Book Title].

  Then sign it something like: Yours in Truth, Faithful and Discreet Slave.

  Maybe imbed a scan of the cited document.

  Just a thought.

  Worst Day(s) of my Life

  a slight exaggeration: the worst day was, and always will be the 14th of january, 1998. however, these last two days haven't been good.

  on tuesday, unable to take the pain of a broken back tooth any longer, i rang my dentist's office to see if they could slot me in for an emergency extraction.

  the receptionist asked me "has anyone told you you're a pain in the bum?".

  Sorry about the non-toothache. Sounds terribly painful and the receptionist seemed to add insult to injury.
