  The beginning of the clip shows a/the baptism and some distress by the infant (kicking feet). It's blurred, but you can pretty clearly see what's happening.

  Quote from the subtitles:

  Cause of death was found to be mechanical asphyxia. Bodily injuries were found on the baby's body specifically bruises and hemorrhage in the neck. What does that mean? That means he was simply holding (squeezing) the baby tightly. The priest is being investigated for accidental homicide. ... Nobody knows the whereabouts of the priest who performed the baptism.   Intellectual dishonesty?

  With such embellished statements that are so easily refuted, he loses both any JW who may possibly read the book AND any other person who attempts to put the info to use as almost any JW will quickly point out the blatant factual errors.

  This then reinforces the JW feeling of being misunderstood and persecuted and that worldly people and churches lie.

  What the Watctower Doesn't Want You To Know. Had such a good opportunity and blew it big time because his head was too big to take note and get his facts straight.

  My personal shunning experiences are dull and not very interesting.

  "Bad associations spoil useful habits"

  YIKES!! I quoted that to a friend a few years ago. His son was talking to a few female witness classmates at a taco joint and some woman from their congregation saw them. The girls made a few comments that they would be in trouble. Friend mentioned it to me and I told him that the girls were going to be counselled on their choice of association.

  "Bad associations spoil useful habits", I told him. His response: "What the hell does THAT mean???"

  LOL.

  It really sounded stupid when I tried to explain it to him.

  NEW PUPPY - names?

  well we are getting a new pup and i'm not set on a name yet.

  it is a sweet baby girl cairn terrier (like toto).

  she is wheaten, which is a blonde color.. she will be coming home to big brother jinx (meaning magic charm or spell), who is a red brindle color.. i have thought of many names but can't decide.. i really like gypsy (goes well with jinx), but don't like it for such a blonde pup.

  I had a cat named 'Scout'.

  His coloring made him look like he was wearing a uniform, he was curious and alert - like a scout - and we had just watched the movie To Kill a Mockingbird.

  Loved the name. Loved the cat.

  Tessa and Taffy seem like great names for a light-colored dog.

  For what it's worth, somewhere I had heard that dogs respond to names that end with a soft sound like a vowel and cats respond better to consonants. I could be wrong but I think I remember reading that.

  i last posted in mid february about my wife.

  we were adjusting to the new realisation of what the wts really is.. she has since left me, and i have been reeling ever since, but now after 5 months, i'm getting back some strength.

  i haven't been able to post on here because i just couldn't talk about it.

  Is The Watchtower Organization A Cult To You?

  i used to call them "cult like" but i do believe they are a "cult".. what's your opinion?.

  I haven't read the 3 pages of this post, but wanted to make a small comment.

  After being inactive for 13+ years, I was waiting for the org to straighten out a few things that I knew in my heart were just wrong. I still thought it was the 'Truth'. Just heading down a wrong trail. And I would often defend the org for meaning to do right and adhere to Jah's standards.

  A good, non-jw friend kept telling me they were cult. I flatly rejected that concept. Would not listen to his reasoning and would counter with the WTS reasons of why they are not a cult (ie: not following a single man other than Jesus).

  It all changed when I hear the term 'High Control Group' used to describe the WTS along with the term 'Cult'.

  THEN it all made sense and shook me to my toes. When you read the marks of a Cult vs the marks of a High Control Group, they really are the same thing.

  So yes, I have come to believe that the WTS is indeed a cult. And I use that word pretty freely now.
