Nope. Trevor the conartist used the alias 'Dedpoet'.
The poster who posts as just 'Trevor' is completely different person.

hi everyone, someone just made me notice that the pdf document on the u.n. website proving that the watchtower associated itself as ngo from 1991(demand) to 2001 has been deleted or is missing.
http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/pdfs/watchtower.pdf i sent an email (very short since they don't allow more than 200 characters) to the un to inquire.
i doubt that they'll respond.i suspect that the watchtower pressured the un to deleted that link.....
Rebel8 wrote: The last I knew the UN had moved the document, not deleted it. There was a thread about it here.
That's what I remembered, too. So I did a little searching earlier today and found this from about a year ago:
SeattleNiceGuy wrote: Update: I just discovered that the link above is no longer current. The UN has re-organized its web site and moved the PDF to a different directory. The current link is:
http://www.un.org/dpi/ngosection/pdfs/watchtower.pdf
SNG
Sad to report that the link SNG cited above is now also not valid.
I also spent some time on the UNs site looking for the letter but could not find it. I did find a letter about JWs/Watchtower but it is in Russian (as translated from Spanish) and did not have time to run it through a translation site.
In the end, I also sent a request on the UN's site inquiring about the letter.

this is in the news right now, and on yahoo home page.. i tried to copy/paste the article, but can't do it.
can someone find it and paste the link or better yet, the article in a reply here so we can discuss it?
when i started to read it, it sounded so much like a j.w.
Growing up, there was much abuse in my family. My dad was an elder and for several years he was PO.
Following one incident of police involvement, I was talking to one of the officers. I was no longer living at home but was very involved with my younger siblings and one of them had called me to come help. So talking to the officer, it came up in conversation that my family was studying the bible just before the violence. He response: You'd be amazed at how often 'bible study' is the activity that families say they were doing just before the violence.
It's not just JWs. But their structured regimine does not give much room for release of steam. And the pressure to be 'better than the rest' takes it's toll. Often on the children.

Maybe. But maybe not. A beard in and of itself does not necessarily measure JW-style spirituality in UK and Europe as it does in USA.
This was discussed in a thread about the film 'To Verdener'.

Any update?
a friend of mine is the tasting room manager at a local vineyard.
this weekend the vineyard hosted an anniversary party for a my-gosh-they-are-so-young-for-having-been-married-for-so-long couple.
while cleaning up after the party, the employees found numerous pieces of literature hidden in their magazine racks, and the 3-dvd set, "the bible - a book of fact & prophecy" hidden among their cds.
Unbelievable.
But completely believable - all at the same time.

I just called them and the call went straight to voicemail.
If I get return call, I will post you y'all. But I'm on my way out so will not have computer/internet connection until I get back later this evening.

don't tell my girlfriend.
secretly, i've had feelings for a person she doesn't know about.
we've been seeing each other for the past 3 months, and so far, he's been the best thing that's ever happened to me.

Noone is saying that. What *is* being said is: Clean up one mess before creating another. In other words, first end things with the girlfriend. THEN start a new relationship.
Somewhere deep in your heart, I think you know that.
