i think i did that last post wrong.. i meant to say that i got mt d'fd fiance to come to this board.
he will probably come in the next day or to and register, most likley, as ajspapi.. to refresh, i was never part of the org.
, he got kicked out cuz of me, we just had a baby, his family is completley not accepting of me or the little guy, i love him deeply and am worried he may want to go back to the jw's to atone with his family, which would completly destroy us.
Is he joining JWD?
If so, cool!
Welcome ajsdaddy ajspapi !!

did you also already get a copy of this?
dear friends, please not only email and post but also deliver to
active jehovah's witnesses via regular mail:
Personally, I think most active JWs would turn away after the child-molester portion.
I think the info is great but maybe more effective to just stick to the one issue - child molesters in the organization. I think it would stick in their minds. Maybe a followup when the program airs?
Then maybe go back later with the NGO and Rand stuff.
I haven't gotten anything like that - yet. But I don't keep company with active JWs either.

it's high time i introduce myself.
i feel like i know many of you already, just by daily reading your posts over the last year.
you all have been a support to my husband and i, even though you were not even aware we were even here.
Great Intro!
Thanks for stepping up and telling us a little about your story.
Look forward to hearing more from you (and your husband?).

hello, new guy here.
i am really not sure what to write.
i signed up a week ago or so, but havn't had the nerve to post.
Hi Seahart -
It's kind of shocking, isn't it? Those dub thoughts sink down so deep. Your post is disturbing to me. You've been out since 13. I imagine you were allowed to have a reasonably normal teenage life. 20+ years later, somethings are still unsettled (??). Am I reading you right?
It saddens me because although I've been 'out' for 13+ years, I was still a quasi-believer. Just learned the truth about 'the truth' Oct/Nov 04. I think my chances of 'normal' are pretty slim.
*sigh*
But, hey!! Nice to have you along. This is really a nice board. Tons of information to be shared.
I look forward to knowing more about you.
Welcome!!

or was that bad grammar?.
i know it makes me an evil bird but i was giggling at farkels displeasure at bad grammar and spelling in another post.. i dont mind misspellings (is that spelled right?
) but stuff like r u 4 reeel?
It was a pretty bad hijack on a newbie's thread.
Grammatical errors, typos, or not - It was ill-form to criticize the brand new poster who was requesting info and assistance with a DF'd spouse and his cold 'family.'
A new thread (this one, for instance!) perhaps should have been started immediately so the grammar police could duke it out and allow the new poster to get the assistance and support she was looking for.
It's a shame that it was not the warm welcome that people here are (mostly) known to give.

i don't have a blood card anymore, have not filled out any of the no blood wt forms but i have come to the realization that if i don't have a living will, my parents can still have the deciding factor if i ever get into a situation where i may need blood.
is this true?
i mean, would the hospital allow them to tell them to let me die b/c of the blood issue even though i have no documents supporting such a decision?
Without those documents, especially the living will, you are at the mercy of the doctors and your family who may not make the same choices you would.
My dad finally did his last summer. I told him how relieved I was because it would really take the pressure off us to try to come to consensus if we were called on to make those decisions.
I believe that it is the grown-up, responsible thing to do.
I prefer the longer one - that questions you on how 'heroic' you want the doctors to be and how you define 'quality of life'. It's a tough one to fill out, but, once it's done, such a relief to have your own wishes spelled out clearly and legally.
Don't wait. Do it this week.

do the other witnesses with whom you associate/once associated in general know that you are an apostate or have apostate inclinations?
the reason for the phrase "in general" is that it may be the case that one or two close friends know how you feel, but others in general do not.
in my own case, one other witness knows, but no one else, so i would answer the survey question with a "no".
No.
Maybe 'not yet' is more appropriate.
