Guess I never had a Mango.
It is one of lifes unique pleasures. Try one when you have a chance.

mango, at the peak of ripeness, kept cool in the shade, then you have an unbelievably delicious experience waiting for you.
peel it and eat it with your hands, outside or standing over the sink.
close your eyes.

there are a lot of customs that jws cant do without any clear scriptural backing (off course there is always some infered scriptural principle to back up what they say) .
when i was a teenager my study conductor disciplined me for burning incense, reading me some mosaic laws that obviously do not apply to christians.
though this was a personal opinion not a watchtower ruling.
Wouldn't it be easier to list the ones that *do* have bibical basis??
I'm thinking there'd be a much shorter list. (Like maybe just 10 bullet points...)

I don't think of seeds when I think of mangoes. You might be thinking of pomegranates???
There's lots of seeds in those and I think people chew them and spit them out. Too messy for me.

what is the best mobile phone (cell phone) to buy when you arrive in the us that has coverage right from the east to west coast and central regions?
the phone itself will get ditched after the trip, i just need one that's cheap to use.
what is everyone wearing these days in New York... I seem to look like a tourist wherever I go.
I think that jeans will fit in well almost anywhere you go in the US. Years ago, my british friends would buy a few pairs here because they were much cheaper than in the UK. Jeans and t-shirts or polo shirts or button shirts with a pair of dress slacks should suffice.
Some places, especially in NYC, still have dress codes. In California, were're very casual so jeans and tennis shoes (sneakers or runners) or boots (or sandals) are worn virtually everywhere.
You have a pm.

...................no, i mean im hot...........................tempreture hot....................ok , ok im "hot" too.....cant help it
so how do i sleep...........................summer is here thats great ..........but with it comes the mosquitoes,, heat and nooooooooooo sleep
I grew up in NewJersey and my room was upstairs. There was no air movement up their and when it was 95 degrees during the day it would only drop about 5 degrees at night. With high, high humidity it was brutal. Too hot to sleep.
I used to suck on ice cubes to cool off a little. Cool, damp wash cloth on my neck helped. Needed a bowl of ice nearby to keep it cool though because it quickly warmed up with body heat and room temp.
California is much more temperate. (Maybe you should move??) I have a/c but haven't needed to use it much. Just regulate temp by opening and closing windows. Ceiling fans can help alot, too.
I like the idea about a tub of ice and a fan near it.
Think cool thoughts...!

Doesn't the camera use batteries? We have all types of batteries, you know.

A picture log? Cool!
I'm in Ventura County (between LosAngeles and SantaBarbara) about 10 miles inland from the coast. If you're spending a few days in the area, or just driving thru, there might be a few us that could meet up with you. (Some might even have a room or a couch to let you use.)
Do you kayak? There are some great trips out to the channel islands (off the california coast from Oxnard / Ventura / SantaBarbara).
A motorcycle trip up the california coast is pretty spectacular. There are lots of canyon roads and open coastal routes to enjoy. (I did a little trip last weekend. Beautiful!)

Will you have access to a computer on this trip so we can track where you're at and perhaps meet up with you as your travel schedule evolves?

Did you retire recently??
I used to work for a Prosthodontist (for about 7 years). Most of our patients were over 60 and were getting their teeth done either just prior to, or just after retiring. It's a difficult transition. The first 6-9 months or so were fun and then they would often slip into a funk. I found it to be very, very common.
It's been a few years but I'm trying to remember what helped. Seems to me that it was different for everyone (like most things). Some went on antidepresants for a few months. Others put together a routine that included golf or tennis several times a week, little part-time job or volunteer activity, an afternoon with grandchildren and/or pets, bridge or backgammon or bowling leagues. Something social and regular. Little bit of excercise with other 'less strenous' social activities. Around here there are lots and lots of seniors clubs and seniors centers. Many have a great variety of activities and programs.
Wonder if you have a hobby or something to share with an elementary school near you? Classrooms sometimes have special guests show off some unique hobby or something to the kids.
My grandmother was a 'class grandmother' for several years and she really loved it. She would spend time in a classroom helping the teacher grade papers and such but also spent one-on-one time in the back corner with kids who needed help reading or some just needed some extra attention or someone to talk to.
Wonder if there is a local resource center. Course, maybe you have other ideas to help you overcome the blues...
Has the weather been overcast lately?? We had some pretty serious 'May Gray' here and are looking out for 'June Gloom' - very heavy marine layer that blocks the sun. Many people get a little depressed when they don't get sunshine.
Just a few thoughts. I hope your days get a little sunnier for you.
