i always assume that people with real pics for their avatars are pics of that poster.
obviously that's not always the case.
i'm curious about whose pic is really them.

i had my kids last weekend, and they seemed hapy, and content.
i called a couple of times earlier this week as usual, to see how they are doing, and got the answering machine.
no mystery there.
This doesn't sound right at all.
As much as you hate to do it, I think you may need to have a warrant issued. Missing person's report at the very least...
Hope this works out alright for you.

so there was a brother that i have know for some time that bought a little truck.
i wanted to buy this truck and he wanted to sell it to me, but might at the same time want to keep it since his son is almost of age.
so i borrowed this truck for a while, about a month, and the brother told me he put it on his insurance and it cost him a whopping 25$ a year since he had been with his insurance company.. well long story short a lady cut me off and i rear ended her at about 5mph... not a very hard collision... but when i call the brother (who is a ms) he says he doesnt have insurance and denies telling me he ever had it.
I would think the registered owner would carry a great amount of the responsibility in this case.
Did you accept the pink slip with the fabricatedcorrected later date?

I opened this thread only because two of my favorite posters were on it.
One started it (ITIS) and the other ended it (AlmostAtheist).
Not remembering where ITIS stands on the issue it thought I'd settle into an informative dissertation. Instead, I got a nice chuckle. And a few other favorite posters, too! Abandoned, IP, Scully and Brucie! It's like peaking in a room and finding it packed with all your friends.
That link was funny. Very good.

ok, i'm going to see if these pictures come out.
they are not saved to my disk, but are copied from my hotmail folder.
if they don't work... would someone let me know what i can do?
bunch of little red 'x's'.
Sorry. I don't know what you need to do but I'm sure someone will come along shortly.

just did a mapquest... weekend after this i'll be staying at a hotel only 17 miles away.
any idea who owns it now?
is it visible from the street?
I remember reading a thread a few months ago (could have been a old, old thread) about Beth Sarim. I think I read that it's at the end of a fairly short street in a gated area but maybe visible from another street????
I could also be very wrong.

I'd be inclined to at least take a drive through the neighborhood.
Maybe an 'Aposta-Tour' could be planned... ?

has anyone else here left the borg and had it go over like a lead ballon, ruining their marriage?
mine is quickly heading that way.
i have been married for about a decade, and have a couple of kids - both in grade school.
they both have told me how tough it has been on them at school to be a witness, and to stifle friendships and association just to please Mom and Dad.
A voice inside me is screaming: "Let them be NORMAL kids! Let them have a REAL childhood!!"
Another quieter voice is saying: "Shut up, Aude. He needs to do what's best for everyone and you (Aude) aren't in any position to counsel or advise."
This whole situation really, really s...u...c...k...s...
Yes. It does. I feel for you and your kids. And for your wife, too.

i've read so many posts from the men on this forum.
how many of you are are willing to defy the society, and defend your wives, sister, and/or daughters in the face of this religion?.
just a question not a threat.. r. .
I, unfortunately, don't have family members who would jump up and defend me. Wonder what that would really feel like. I am fiercely loyal for them (well, I can be fiercely and *have* been) but when it's their time to speak up and/or take action, well....It's never happened.
Case in point, a drunk in a bar was hurling obscenities at me. I snapped back at him: "Look!! You don't even *know* me, so YOU shut up." My brother took pity on the poor drunk and <yadda, yadda, yadda> I haven't heard from him (my brother) since July.
He wrote that he wishes I would just have some compassion for others.

in a court of law you tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth (hand on bible) if you don't do this it could lead to a prison sentence, thats how serious lying is considered.
(by the world).
therefore when elders discuss the wellbeing of a brother or sister especially in a judicial meeting where they invite god to oversee through prayer in that meeting, if they do not get their facts correct, or worse, they lie about an individual, could this be considered to be an act of perjury, after all you could not get a greater judge than jehovah to make sure you present your facts correct and truthful to.
Forgot to add -
When in court, what most would call 'perjury', the society calls 'theocratic warfareâ„¢'.
