Oops! I just re-read the OP. My mistake... I missed the word *IF* [you] married lovely pioneer. Sorry to misread that.

this is the story of how i ended up here on this site.... .
i was stuck in a situation where reaching out took forever, an eternity.
it was ridiculous - no matter what i did, there was always more to do.

I'm curious ... How specifically did you get to JWN? Were you researching something else and stumbled upon this site by accident? Did a friend refer you here?
Is your wife still an active pioneer? Does she know the level of your discouragement with the process of 'reaching out'?
I'm not trying to pry. Just curious. Only share what you are comfortable with.

its seemed like in my old hall(im still in just leared tthatt) evey other local needs part we had was about either gossip or needing more effort in the ministry.
also about brothers needing to step up and "reach out".. were/are there alot of gossip, lack of ministry support or lack of brothers in your hall when you were a jw?.

hehehe That's funny. Sounds like your cong had nothing *but* needs. The fact that those needs were deep and real (rather than petty) is irrelevant in JW Management world. Unfreakingbelievable.
btw - I love your nick!

Welcome! Thanks for sharing a bit of your story.
Do you think that maybe one of the elders has/had a thing for your wife and was keeping you down in effort to cause trouble with your marriage and make himself look better.
Sorry that came out cynical. But I've things like that happen in business. And the WTS is like a big business corp.
Regardless. Welcome! We're glad you found us. You'll fit right in.

the recent video of tony prime where he crashed the memorial made me think how the memorial has changed in recent years ,the layout of the talk ,the lack of jesus and his sufferings.
how do you think the memorial has changed in recent years ?.
video of apostate crashing the memorial.
Stunts like these are rude and counter-productive.

hello, you read it here first!.

Thank you for posting this.
I really appreciate that it is in cut-and-paste format and not just a link.
Thank you

no virus ;-).
I appreciate the advance info but I have trouble with *many* posts from WatchTower87.
Some of his threads I cannot open because a window pops up asking me to open or save a file. I haven't even seen the thread info before getting that pop-up.
I headed someone elses advice that a recent link from WatchTower87 had a virus. So now I am triply dubious.
Where possible, I prefer that there be a cut-and-paste of the document info to read right here on JWN without being forced to link somewhere else. Having both the cut-and-paste and the link for those who want to view the actual document would be better - as long as that dang pop-up forcing to open or save does not automatically activate.

i was on this board a lot when i faded and left 6 years ago but not been on much since.
is there any thread/s in particular to read showing the changes in the past 5 years?
or any kind willing person who has time to summarise them as a reply below??
Quite a few changes. Fun to see all put together in one thread montage.
Thanks!

after reading the thread soon to be 18 and quit speaking to her mother- suggestions?, i started thinking of how to use the wtbts's doctrine to help jws to see what is the real purpose of shunning for the wtbts.
hopefully, some good ideas will be posted to this thread and may help exjws and jws to maintain relationships with each other instead of shunning the non-jws.. how would a jw react to the following?.
do christians shun or not associate with non-jws to help non-jws believe that the wtbts has the "truth", to keep the cong clean of non-believers, or to not be shunned?

some guys visited me a couple of times, and i asked them about the book of revelation.
one of them brought me a red book with a lot of illustrations and at the end of every page or so the guy had dated the day he had read it.
he also marked certain passages.
If it's been longer than a month since you left him the message, toss it.
