If I am not mistaken I beleive scientologists are similair in this respect. In fact I think they hide alot of their books until you have "advanced" aka coughed up more money. I have heard some crazy stories about members trying to leave too, but they could have been just tainted JW scare stories....

This was an awesome video! I will have to share it with my business partner, he will get a kick out of it. I have been a Network Engineer for 8 years and tinkering with computers since I was 5!! I will say that alot of those repair shops are a rip off. I even have a price sheet for geeksquad. Did ya'll know they charge $149 to install a video card... that doesnt include the price of the card!

I remember when I was 18, a buddy and I went down to TJ to drink.... We were so extremely drunk we had to sleep in the car for like 6 hours before we could drive.
Anyways, we made it a point to go to the meeting that night... I showed up dressed in a suit with no shoes and socks on.
From that point on people called me "brother shoeless"
Pretty amazing that I was never talked to about that situation, and ppl didn't know I was sooooo buzzed at the time.

The Dishonesty Amazes Me

i wanted to buy this truck and he wanted to sell it to me, but might at the same time want to keep it since his son is almost of age.
so i borrowed this truck for a while, about a month, and the brother told me he put it on his insurance and it cost him a whopping 25$ a year since he had been with his insurance company.. well long story short a lady cut me off and i rear ended her at about 5mph... not a very hard collision... but when i call the brother (who is a ms) he says he doesnt have insurance and denies telling me he ever had it.

I love how people say that I am whining. I am not saying that It was not my fault. Nor am I saying that I don't want to pay restitution to the owner. In fact I am trying to do just that... But i don't think its fair that I was lied to saying that the car was fully insured and covered any driver... Then I get in an accident and he doesnt have it, and decides he is going to sell it to me but back date the title since he knows he lied and doesnt want to take the fall.
And no I have not yet accepted the title, and I am not going to give him the info to put on the release of liability since I know that he is going to try and backdate it. It is still registered to him.
And yes there is a police report... they happened to drive buy shortly after we exchanged all the info and started documenting it all.

Greeeeat, this is in California.... Guess I'll be getting my license taken away. Don't know how I'll get to work everyday now. I've since bought a car for myself and put insurance on it, but I guess too little too late. If there was a hell, I wished this guy would burn in it right now... looks like his lying is about to screw me financially in a big way for a few years.

And since I wanted to buy the truck he is going to take it out of the $5000 he owes me and backdate the pinkslip to prior to the accident!!!!
I am so infuriated... It pisses me off and amazes me that these "beacons of light" and the biggest shiesters in the world. I mean not only is he trying to screw me for him not be financial responsible with his car but hes also trying to illegally shift the blame to me by backdating a liability release on the vehicle... So needless to say I'm a bit stuck, and he's holding my money ransom too. On top of that I don't know what will happen to me for him not having his car insured! :'(

I got DF'd by hearsay... They wouldn't accept worldly ppl as witnesses to the accused act. But somehow they managed to find 2 witnesses who never witnessed anything to come forward... and what they said was so far from the truth. But hey who am I to argue with "2 witnesses" I'm obviously full of bologna and a pathological liar.
