Introducing myself.

hello eveyone.

forgive me for just jumping in your threads without giving some information about myself.. my name is danni.

i am a law enforcement officer.

And I don't want to break your heart, but

LOL don't worry about it you didn't break my heart I like those who don't pull punches with me.

"Wow, that guy is so cool! I'd become a JW just to check him out!" and so she acted really interested. The downer in all this is that he couldn't care less how cool she was, he just wanted her to come to meetings and be able to reach God. He didn't have any interest in her at all.

LOL All that just to be save huh?? haha. Well atleast he did it for god right?? (joking).

Seriously I kind of figured he was not interested in me a while back so cut off our communications . He kept calling me everynight until i agreed to speak with him. He confessed he wanted a realtionship with me. Now after reading your words it just may be the real reason he's come on so strongly now. To give me over to his god.

By the way: some one did visit me from their church not to long ago but I was not home . They left a little message saying they needed to speak with me it was important. I wonder now.....

I don't understand your question

This i said, because I am told Jehovah's Witnesses isolate themselves from all other people. I was asking how you can isolate yourself if you are indeed trying to socialize with others not of your faith. Such as Knocking at the doors. The question is a bit off.:)

And the one about the cops I was told Jehovah's Witnesses view me as being a worker for Satan because I am a cop. That makes no sense to me since i also protect the rights of Jehovah's witnesses.

Sent a few letters to prove he/she was not sending out hate mail only comments to others (which i have to be honest didn't seem to be hateful at all).

Kylishlee also made some other comments but I will keep those remarks. to myself to see for myself if they are true.

Thanks to all of you. I must apprear to be demanding to all of you. I am not I am really a nice person who just wanted to understand a man. Now i am being taken into a whole new world. I am more interested in religion now than i ever have in the past.

I hope you all don't take offense to me saying. This is all very captivating to me.

I have this question: Do you feel like leaving was wise ?? after all you could have worked from the inside to gather information such as documents etc that will be needed for edvidence in a court of law.

See Mr. Bowen it's very difficult to prove sexual assualt cases in court these days. I have witness many perpetrators walk out clean because there was not enough evdience to convict them with. I am sure you friend may have said something about that.

With you no longer being there the pervert can now run free and be prehaps be alone with other children. Do you have any idea if the memebers in the church are aware of your reasons for leaving?? If so this just may work out to protect children.

Mr. Bowen if you can get back in there...........No I won't tell you to something dangerous.......Your speaking out is good.

I can understand the church keeping certian matters confidential but the abuse especailly sexual abuse of children is one place they should drawn the line. And besides it would have looked better for all Jehovah's Witnesses to say they remove these types from their religion than keeping them in.

teejay: Jesus told parables or illustrations - stories - to make certain points. In a couple of these stories he spoke of an Evil slave. This single slave would represent all the people who opposed Jesus' followers in years to come. The Good slave would represent true Christianss.

ah-ha okayyy that's kind of funny. (not making fun of one's beliefs) I have never read that before. But I don't do a lot of bible reading . Maybe I should.

Gumby :not jehovah.
Even the Jehovah's witnesess believe this to be true as explained in their own literature. They however demand that this term jehovah be used in their group or you would be ostrasized if you differed.

If their own literature contridicts their beliefs it makes no sense to ostrasize others who refuse to use the term "Jehovah".

Gumby: If you say you don't believe ALL the things that they teach and you persist in your ways after they have threatened you to stop....you will be shunned from their organisation and by all members and be labled 'AN APOSTATE'

I see..Again this stuff sounds like what movies are made of.

I was only going to ask ten questions I don't want to turn anyone off. These are terms I am trying to familiarize myself with. To better understand Jehovah's Witnesses.

Kylishlee: I appreciate the information. I couldn't write you back because your email is block, which is your right. You didn't have to show me letters to prove your point. I am aware of others who would exaggerate and blame everyone for their problems. I see this daily when I make arrest. Yes I would agree there's a lot of hate going around against the Jehovah's Witnesses. However, I must confess some of it seems to be for good reasons such as families cutting lose those who have left this religion.

To make a reply to your other comments. No I didn't see any hate in the comments you made to others but at the same time you did say you sent out insults to those who you felt deserved it. That's no excuse either.

Last I would not now or in the future accuse you of sending me hate mail. If I do I will be certian to post your letter. And in your words "not half ass" all of it :)

Oh one last thing: You gave good advice of finding a neutral site about Jehovah's Witnesses however, you didn't say if you had one. If so please send the link I will be more than happy to look into it.

Neyank : if I remember right,years ago being in law enforcement or having any other job with the gov. was considered bad.
It was thought that the person with such a job was working for satans gov.

Me working for Satan? I work for the public. I am here to protect not hurt. I would fight for the rights of every Jehovah's Witness just as I would for all others.

No need to apologize Kenny. I am sorry for pain you must suffer between you and your family. I hope some one will pick up the phone and call you. It could be they do not realize how much pain they have cause you.

In essence, whilst we may not have received literal threats of being killed off if we didn't agree, we were warned that we would be 'spiritually' bumped off if we questioned too much. This is the practice of disfellowshipping or put another way, complete ostracism. Cut off entirely from fellowship with family and friends, everyone you've always known.

Well said. I see a lot of pain here. I hope you all can find some way of not letting the past ruin your futures. The biggest problems I have with organized religion is the emotional impact it can have on people. The sufferings I am reading about is a type of emotional abuse. Some of you said, you were raised in the religion that would mean you have been programed from birth to believe in one way. Most of you appear to have be shelted from the realities of life. This has done more harm than good. Have any of you gotten some type of help since your departing from the religion??? If not please consider getting some professional help.

dungbeetle: Anyway, the best that can be said about the Jehovah's Witnesses, especially their leadership, is that they are in a LOOOOOOT of trouble right now. The United Nations is pissed at them, France and Russia and Greece are pissed at them, thousands of their own present members are pissed at them, and the United States is looking at them VERY VERY hard right now. And I can guarantee you that before too
long many of the South American and African countries are going to be looking at them very very hard very soon.

Now that's funny!! Don't tell me it's the knocks at the doors. (being smart)..

I have read there's no freedom but you don't appear to be in fear of speaking your mind.

GoldDustWoman Holding Armmagedeon over their heads is one way witnesses are controlled.

That's something I have not seen since the Davidians. Where are they getting these ideas? Where in the Bible does it show this?

GoldDustWoman I'm sure your friend is a very nice person. But, he is right. You two are on separate roads.

If we are on separate roads I can accept this and move on. The world if full of beautiful men. This one just happen to catch my eye. His manners and well spoken words was a + for me.

I am sorry you have lost your family over all of this. I am also sorry the others have lost out on love from family members over the years. It's sad. Do you feel if you called them they would hang up on you, or have you already tried this?? It's crazy to me. NO WAY NEVER will I let some one control my mind to the point of ignoreing loved ones.It's okay to believe in your religion but there should be a limit to how far you are willing to go just to be part of religion that says "don't talk or die" (in a manner of speaking)

I would chose being shunned. There's no way I would stop talking with my children or anyone else i loved.

Naeblis The friend I'm speaking about had elders parked outside her house in the middle of the night. They came to her work to talk to her when she specifically told them not to and called her constantly. This is common.

If this is still going on pleae tell your friend to file at the county court house for a restraing order. If this person continues to traspass he will be arrested, fined and jailed. The order of the court will not allow him to go with in ten yards or her. This law is also for those who cyber stalk , many do not know this.
