YoYoMama So if she believed that her son is trying to destroy her faith, thus killing her physically, she could choose to avoid him like a plague.
Where is your faith if you are afriad of your own children? who has told this woman she will be in danger if her son came to visit. What Blble scripture has said that? Is God stronger than Satan? If so should they be in fear of him? Can you call it faith if you fear Satan.? If she worries about losing her faith why not just make house rules.? We obey my mom's house rules I don't believe I am the only one to have respect for my mother. Will you go visit her and tell her all the love her son has for her before she dies, how much he misses her or will that be destroying her faith also?
If you have God on your side and fear your own child's visit then it's time to redefine your faith...

seven006 A little fact help here. This DB is made of about 95% exJW's. That is why the scales balance on Alan's side. The few JW that come here are mostly like Fred Hall. Just read his little posts and come to your own conclusions.

I personally have only seen my mom 3 times in 16 years. She is old and dying and her religion tells her she cannot associate with her own son. My only crime is disagreeing with their teachings. Now tell me, is that a crime? Where is the anger in having someone disagree with you? Is it Alans way of thinking or the religion Robert tries to protect? Do you think any religion has the right to tell a mother not to see her son for 16 years simply because he does not agree with their teaching? Are you starting to get a better idea now?
Hell no I don't agree with that. I am trying to understand the control of telling people to leave their loved ones because they stopped believing. The biggest problem I have with is: how can a mother turn her back on the very children she gave life to. Who will come to her aid in her old age. Her religion or her children? you have heard the saying " no one can replace the children you have"..
I have to admit that youknow didn't say you couldn't talk with your mom. Call her don't let her leave this world without saying good bye to you.

Alan has a lot of passion for what he does. He is one of a hand full of people that has been in the front lines of exposing the deception of the JW religion. Just as you get sickened with having to deal with some of the scum of the earth on a daily basis in your job, Alan has dealt with the cover ups and deception of the JW leaders first hand. Don't misunderstand his passion for getting the truth out as hate. I have known the man as one of my beast friends for many years and outside of the JW issue he is a damn pussy cat and has the heart of a teddy bear. The only think he hates is lies and injustice. I think you can relate to that.
TINA: Please dont forget we came from an org that didnt allow free debate or allow us to question anything. Issues that ffected evry facet of our lives.
Issues that actually destroyed aspects of our being,in which we are trying hard to regain.

Just further to Lilacs comment, the more common Legal cases will likely paint the JW's in a favourable light for their efforts in developing and fighting for various freedoms enjoyed in North America.
However as you review those Supreme Court cases one has to ask would the JW's give the same freedoms to individuals in the organization, freedom of speech, freedom of association? just to name a few.

Yes this will help. I don't care how many case they have won if the Jehovah's Witnesses or any other are protecting child molesters I won't be any nicer to them than i would be with the filthy child molesters we arrest almost daily. They are the lowest types on earth. But I am not going to let myself show angry over this now. Because I do have to go back on the job. I don't want to take my personal feelings with me. I will take care of the ones here where i live and that's for sure. One person can make a difference. Thankyou I will be getting back to you. People are under the impression I am protecting Youknow. I said the both of them were acting in ways you don't expect two educated men to act.
I don't know if he has hurt millions of people. I don't know him either. I simply said, maybe it's best the two should keep away from eachother. I read that thread. He was attacked in every way possible from his intelligences to his opinion. That didn't seem fair. The majority is with Alan. Are they not?Yes you are right I have sat in on trials where the defense has twisted the truth, I have also seen that from the DA's office. Just last year there was a 14yr accused of killing some visitors from out of town. The DA's office knew the police beat a confession out of him. All the "Evidence" pointed to him. But the Juror didn't buy it. The saw the bruises on his face. He was realsed. The city wanted to know how could we "law" let a killer go free. Three months later the real killers was caught. They went into detail that only the killers could have known. Now his family is sueing us. Things are not all that rosey from other side either. No one is without deception. You can beleive that.

Lilacs Why not try searching into their history as far as the law is concerned and then make up your own mind as to wheather they are a good religion or not. ALL the facts are out there.
That's all I have been doing since talking with people in here. I am suppose to be at work now. But I asked for more time off. I said, for personal reasons but it's because I want to check things out. I love investigating matters. I did go and read at slient lambs it breaks my heart to see people can cover up the rape of children. I am leaning lilacs. You deserved a respectful answer.
