Doesn't it just blow your mind how parents can DEFEND their adult child who is a sex offender? My grandparents now have nothing to do with me, the victim, and still have contact with my father, the molester!!! I thought it was just my family that was sick and twisted!!!
I think the sex abuse awareness ribbon is teal, right?

i'll start: .
My life was MISERABLE in the org. My husband opposed majorly. My kids thought it was so stupid. Life was just a dark tunnel with no end in sight. I tried taking my life a few times. Finally I came to my senses with the help of some dear, loving friends who are no longer associated with the org.
It is truly a MIRACLE! I feel like a butterfly just out of it's cocoon! Life is soooo beautiful. My family is all in harmony. We are so happy. I just celebrated my twin daughters birthday for the first time in 11 years! They are now 14, and it is the first time they remember me celebrating with them!
I only have to take a small amount of meds now, and I have never felt so emotionally well!!!
Thanks to all of you here on this forum. Your encouragement has been awesome!

i've made some progress with speaking to mum and stepdad regarding the jw org.
i think i'm making good progress because yesterday i sat down and said to mum something along the lines of.... "listen, i understand if you don't want to look at what i present to you regarding your faith, but you must wonder why i no longer go to the kingdom hall even though i had a lot of goals as a witness and things were working out for me, i was an unbaptized publisher, i had given talks from the platform and someday i wanted to be an elder.
why do you think now i go to church?.

It really is a HUGE relief when you find out JW's do not have the truth. What is also wonderful is the way you can sit down with your mom and discuss versus argue. Religion can be a very touchy subject with many. So many have forgotten REAL christianity. It isn't about argueing over who is right, it is about showing Christ-like love!

It is really the ultimate worst crime against children. I was sexually abused by my father for 7 years. I went through hell. When a friend told me about silent lambs(when I was a believer of the WTS) I listened to her, but was afraid to go to the site. I finally did. It changed everything. I knew I could no longer be a part of a group that could actually COVER UP such horrible crimes against kids. I thank my wonderful, DF'd friend!!!

it has been five years since i was baptized and i wish i could take it back.
i woke up this morning feeling incredibly sad, lonely and whats worse i woke up feeling empty.

Give yourself some time. Start getting involved in other things that interest you. Do something that is just for YOU.
Time really does heal the wounds. I would have forgotten that this was my baptism date if I hadn't read your thread. You will too someday. This junk becomes less of an issue as time goes on. Surround yourself with friends outside of the WTS. If you don't have any yet, Make some! There are truly some wonderful people out there. WTS makes you think that all people who are not JW's are demonic. Not true! I have met some wonderful people on this forum.
Keep your head held high! you have nothing to feel bad, or ashamed about.

i was living in another town at the time.
on that occasion i destroyed them on the basis of archaeology, paleontology and other sciences.

well, i have to take my primo apostate hat off to all of you that have done the fine work in marshfield and neillsville.
now....being in nearby wisconsin rapids, i have a question.

A bro in our cong. was off to see his mistress in a neighboring town. He couldn't locate her, so he assaulted a different lady in a laundromat. He was caught because he is a mailman and someone recognized him! I was told he had a mattress in the back of his van with chains, and other disgusting paraphenilia. Anyway, the "incident" was made public by our newspaper. The CO decided to take him camping to "encourage" him!!!!!!!!! He was NEVER disfellowshipped!!!! Yes, he is part of the "good ol' boys" club.
There is also a bro in "good standing" that takes Viagra and BRAGS to people, (witness and non-witnesses) that the government pays for it (he's disabled, physically) and tells disgusting stories about his "conquests" using Viagra!!!!!!!!
