If they don't have family or friends, then I would disassociate. That is what I did. That ended any surprise visits and unwanted phone calls. Now I feel totally FREE!!!!!

on another thread they were talking about the lack of joy and mental health problems coming from jw kids not being allowed to participate at class dances, sports and so forth.

the lack of the joyfulness of birthdays is another factor.

why not leave some copies of this in your kingdom halls and assemblies if you still attend.

I don't get to enjoy any food right now, I'm on a liquid diet for probably 4-5 months, and just started today!

OUCH!!!!

well, my foot has been hurting for a month now on the side of my right foot.

the pain got real bad and i went to the er.they took x-rays and said everything looked o.k.

i made an appointment to follow up with a podiatrist.

I had a foot problem called plantar facitis. It hurt like hell. They tried braces and even casting my foot! None of it helped. I also had the injection in the foot. It does hurt like hell, especially in the days following. It helped for 2 months, then the pain came right back. Finally after 18 months of pain, I had foot surgery. It was the easiest and least painful of surgeries I have had thus far. after the swelling went down, the pain went away and never came back again!

Ask your doctor about plantar facitis. That is probably what it is. They can do surgery. It helped me tremendously!

i was listening to a testimonial by valerie acuff and she said that she was sitting in an assembly, looking around at the crowd and thinking to herself, "this is your family, these are your people.".

she said at that moment she heard a voice inside say, "these are not your people, this is not your family, get up and leave now, and don't ever go back.

" so she took her two children at that very moment and left, and she never went back.

Hi Whyizit!

I was a walk-away believer for 3-4 years. I stopped meeting attendance, but still believed the WTS had the "truth".

A sister I knew from our congo would see me now and then at Wal-mart. She would tell me about silent lambs. At first, I couldn't believe it. Finally I went out on the site.

Being that I have first-hand experience with childhood sexual abuse, I was floored by the web-site. It was then, that I realized how wrong the WTS was. I could NOT be a part of an org. that could just sweep such horrible attrocities against children under the rug.

I've been free ever since. I feel closer to my God, and have been able to pray to him again. Being in the org. I never felt even good enough to pray to him!!!

Freedom is a beautiful thing!!

my daughter's are pretty close, but not like they once were.

if i give a compliment to one, the other one feels she needs to bring up something about herself.

Just wondering if anyone else has twins? I have 14 year-old twins. My daughter's are pretty close, but not like they once were. If I give a compliment to one, the other one feels she needs to bring up something about herself. Is this normal?

Both my girls have been on the A honor roll every quarter since they began middle school. They are both self-motivated and I never have to tell them to do their school work. It is funny, but school and grades are one area they don't seem too competitive about. All other things though.... watch out!!!

One of my twins was diagnosed this school year with Obsessive compulsive disorder and depression. She has gotten a little more attention from school, counselors, and us the parents. If you have ideas to share or any help at all, I would appreciate hearing from you!!!

Cleaning the Kingdom Hall

what part of the hall was your favorite part to clean?

was it the bathrooms, the main hall, library or lunch room perhaps...did people use cleaning the hall as an excuse to get self-righteous?

since my hubby was an opposer, I never went to the kingdom hell more than for the meetings. Somehow I got out of it, and no one really said anything to me, surprisingly.
