even though we don?t exactly know if you still identify yourself as a witness of jehovah, we decided to still use the same opening words as in our letter to you from november the fifth 2001. we received your letter from last 23 may in good order.

in here you ask an amount of questions in addition to your previous letter from 5 november 2001 and our reactions on it in our letter from 8 november 2001. .

Avenger's I go for the combination. Stupid because they won't even consider thier 'mother' as ever being decietful..... evil because they will obfiscate every action or word the 'society' sanctions.

The very essence of evil is rooted in the ability to excuse oneself or others, without even a moments hesitation or consideration. Jw's cannot point the finger of accusation at themselves. Some of the lamest appologies for mistakes they have made about 'chronology' (affecting millions of lives) usually end up blaming the r&f in the end.

They cannot be classified as anything other than stupid and evil for allowing men to have such control over them.

Sad part is I was really stupid for 30yrs.

This may seem harsh but here we go.....

Your entire response to me was one of justification for your ardent stand as respects the bible and ardor for Jesus. Almost like a stand up Prayer, Praise and Testimony sermon.

Upon reflection, it appears that your zeal regarding your 'faith,' is simply a reflection of the benefits you receive or have received by such declarations.

It is a common thread I have noticed among believers like yourself. Almost a mania or fixation on quoteing or red lining 'THE SCRIPTURES'...just the visualization of verse after verse, turns you guys on. It is a drug. You can't help but sniff another line, chop and disect every red letter word. It gives you guys a high. Never really caring or thinking about where the drug originated, just let me have some more. An addiction in every sense of the word.

Other symptoms of this addiction, are repetitive sayings. Preaching to the choir even. Seems like the more you repeat the same mantra, the more it's incites a rigid mindset.

Why should you even be worried about loving me? We know really nothing of each other. I really don't desire or care for that kind of 'free love'. I had 30 yrs of 'christian love' shoved down my throat. Jw's practice the same word service towards love as you just demonstrated.

Respect is what we all need, love can come later.

Drug addicts never love anyone....they are so tied up with themselves, and the feel 'good' (no hate, no worries, no guilt)......sound familiar??? that they'er chosen drug delivers, that everything and everyone around them are unimportant, only serving as eyes and ears that bolster the high obtained. I mean what's a good high without someone to show it off to.

So I don't believe one word of this so called love 'believers' tout.......it is just a result of the mind altering state of mind.

I must admit everything Gumman says about LittleToe sure seems to be accurate. Yes, you should be embare-assed Toe, that is probably one of the most sincere, glowing acalades I have ever read. Btw I agree with his observation.

It is so, I mean so, refreshing to have anyone respond with an open mind. Often there is simply pro & con, point blank confrontation.

Gumman you have demonstrated to me again, your ability to read people (you did a damn good job of pegging me).

Thank you. In addition it is also not unknown that some people (including myself) can visualize and accept "Him" for themselves, without the need for 'scripture' or any other religious based dogma.

Once again you revert to the "Scriptures". That is the point Undi, you and those people gathered in the Synagog 2,000 years ago, had nothing but someone elses writings to turn to.

If you can't prove the writings to be inspired, then your left with acceptance by faith. Faith, faith, faith. The definition enough to prove my reasoning.

Choose god but don't expect, others to make the choice based on a book whos authenticity cannot be proved.

Ps. Iam already tired of this, because it never changes. You and others like you, who tout all this belief in Scripture, never give one iota of recognition to the alternate view. I understand you can't do it, it would take that big rafter holding up your very exsistance and rock you to your knee's.

how does everyone else cope with being shunned by family?

i am a newbie to the site.

i was born an raised a jw.

shortly after marriage, my husband and i decided we no longer wanted to be part of the organization.

***I am now destined to be that hidden family member, hidden from view, treated as though I don't even exist. This is what I have had to come to terms with.***

It took me about the same amount of time to resolve.

Jw's are so blind. They see themselves as more upright, more righteous, for dealing so harshly with the so called non-repentant sinners. Yet they will with open arms accept in 'good standing' almost anyone that has the properly endowed tear ducts, sufficiently drooping chin, that 'listens' intently to admonition from the 'spirit directed' elders and fds.

Child abuse, murder, larceny, wife beating, all easily excused by simply being submissive to Watchtower will.

They can't get it, they just don't want to see the evilness, they get side tracked by all the words. Clean, upright, godly devotion, pure, the words rushing into the brain......allowing them to tear and rend families apart, without the slightest twinge of consience.

The same could be said about following Ghandi's words. Someday someone will make up a relgion based on his teachings. Maybe there already is such a movement.

As is true with most believers, your comments reflect a feel-good, emotional basis for believing. Can't prove a word of what you claim, but it sure feels good to say it. That is a common denominator among all true believer's.

Heart, gets more mention than mind, hands down.

You just summed up why most of us come here nb.

The miserable, sick, religion just won't go away will it? Like a persistant nasty barking dog, once the wtbs gets in your yard....you just can't shake the bastards.

The few of us here, going through exactly your pain, represent just a small percentage of those whose lives have forever been altered by this evil religion. Evil is the correct word. No other word can fit an organization that seems to relish it's role as a family destroyer. They will cry foul to this statement, but the reality is its a fact.

Instead of offering reconciliation and forgivness, it promulgates hate and derision. Daily offering up young and old to lives of desperation and loneliness. Predicated on some misguided sense of 'keeping themselves clean'......while at the very same moment adding bloodguilt and shame on themselves, for violating natures own laws, let alone the god they claim to worship. Many unable to take the rejection, ending thier lives. Turning to drugs, alcohol, sex, and other forms of excess to relieve the pain.

They just have it so wrong.

Meanwhile back on the farm, we just have to COPE.....you chose the right word.

Reading other's views and how they deal with the pain, can offer alot of support and help you do just that. Cope.

Just imagine what some wannabe believer 1000yrs from now could do with David Koresh's rantings and ravings, not to mention that clan of idiots down in SanDiego, who off't themselves to catch a ride on the comet's tail. Bet they asserted all sorts of mysterious words and phrases to they'er writings, eh?

When Joseph Smith can claim to have received gold tablets from the angel moroni around the turn of the 20th century, and millions now living (sound like da judge, don't i?) buy his story, read his every word as inspired. Well you get the picture.
