Someone in a congregation somewhere might have said it's a conscience matter. But there will be a rider - if you have a "bible trained" conscience (WTS style), you won't be celebrating.

I'd like to be a night owl but I have to get up early for work. The last 2 nights I've got to bed at 1.00am but my body clock still wakes me up at 6.00am.
Just as well it's a Saturday. I have to think in my job.

A JW just visited
by sass_my_frass insaturday morning, long weekend = partly inevitable.
i saw them around the corner so had a few minutes to prepare my thoughts, and i got a lone guy in his thirties doing a magazine presentation.
his mags were about world unity so he asked if i thought that mankind will ever unite and i said 'yes absolutely, i think that we're growing, i'm looking forward to it'.

Aren't you glad you're not doing it anymore! On the rare occasions that I see them, it's usually a slow stroll. A couple of times they spent ages standing in a group under the tree in front of my place. I call that "street witnessing".
I actually feel sorry for them because they think they are doing the right thing.

Well Hello
by RichieRich ini've received several messages from friends about posting an update here.
it is true there are people here who care for/ about me, and it doesn't take too much time out of my day to just post a litte update, so i figured i would.
i heard from a little birdy with a big nose that my name has been mentioned once or twice around here, and that prompted me to stick my nose in.

I have a husband that loves me dearly but I just wonder how he can when my family doesn't even care??
Your family has been brainwashed by a mind controlling cult. Don't take their attitude as a barometer of whether you should be loved or not.
Your husband loves you...so you are lovable.

I like dressing up if the occasion calls for it. I rarely wear a dress or skirt these days though.

Thinking of giving it all up!
by eyeslice ini am sure this isn't a mid-life crisis i have done that and got out of the jws.
.
but i am seriously thinking of just leaving the west with its rat race, emphasis on money, senseless tv and media, cars, shopping malls, pre-packaged food, supermarkets, etc, etc, and moving to india to live in a small cottage near a beach somewhere.. anyone else got the urge to get out of the rat-race?.

I live "the simple life" right here where I am. Don't worry too much about material possessions, but I've got what I need. I do have a job, which I enjoy. Life's good.
