People do actually die in the heat in Australia, so it's not to be taken lightly. Usually tourists who get lost in the outback and are unprepared - or their vehicle breaks down.
Where I live, most houses and cars have airconditioning so you are never far from relief.

What months are considered the rainy season?
You're thinking of the tropical north - most of the rain falls in December to March.
I live in the South - it's very dry. Average total rainfall for the year is 565mm. It rains mostly in winter - June to August. Summers are very hot - we've already had temperatures in the high 30's Celsius. We had 11 days of above 30 degrees C in November (and that's officially still spring). Not unpleasant though - especially if you are at the beach.

according to the wts library cdrom, the watchtower, august 1 2005, page 12 provides a table of the kings of judah and israel.. i decided to reproduce the table and add two columns.
my first additional column shows the conventionally accepted date and the second additional column shows the difference between the wtss date and the conventional date for each listed king.. as expected, since the final event listed is the destruction of jerusalem, that difference is about 20 years.
i had expected this difference would be maintained throughout the table.
