You mean the mods actually allow unflattering statements to be made about the organization? That's amazing. I'm surprised that some enterprising CO or DO hasn't called in the cavalry on this and lopped off some heads. I wonder how the owners and admins of the site haven't been discovered yet.

I don't believe that statement for one minute. How often did we as JWs go door to door telling them that Jehovah's Witnesses have an open mind, and are not afraid to have open and candid discussions regarding our faith.
How many times have we told householders that the Bible teaches a particular doctrine when deep down inside, we knew that it was merely the "current understanding" that had been handed down to us from Brooklyn.
I think that it's very revealing when a person makes statements about not being afraid of open discussion, and then they duck and run for cover. It's the typical "drive by jaw-flapping" that has been done by many a troll.
well all, we know this is a big deal.
i for one will sit there during the discussion of this ariticle wanting to scream yet i will say nothing if i am not prepared, and of course i have to "comment" with an angle that doesnt arouse suspicion.. so here it is folks, we need to put together brief, very well worded comments to use during these meetings.

i finally found my way to the silent lamb website, and am at this moment shaking with disgust and anger.
i know from experience that the organization covers up child abuse issues, and protects the abusers.
i just hadn't read anything like this before.
It's not a coincidence that this Summer's conventions contain talks which specifically mention "not believing in stories on the internet". This is just common sense; as any prudent person will take what they read on the net with a grain of salt, but this is not what the Brooklyn task masters have in mind.
The organizational leadership does not want any of it's members to read anything news articles, or research that are the least bit unflattering about the organization. It cracks me up how the organization constantly tells it's members that the "Slave" has provided the official Watchtower website to provide all of the information they need. Now, that's a knee-slapper.
What do all totalitarian groups in history (whether they be religious or political) have in common? Information control. Watchtower information is like the state-run news stations in the Soviet Union that only reported positive news about the Soviet economy and state of affairs; while reporting on all of the woes of every other country. Coincidently, both the Watchtower Society and the Soviet Union have both referred to themselves as "Mother". Mother organization; Mother land.

is there strong evidence that he has his people here on earth that although not perfect, are doing his will?
JW's can pose thoughts and comments, but have no way to back them up. They just dissapear.

apparantly, these days it is general knowledge in our local congregation that the wtbts had joined the united nations as an ngo!.
this is not a problem i am reliably told by a local relative.. the un nations deserves the same respect as any other governmental authority and just as jehovah's witnesses would obey the law of the land there is no problem in being part of the united nations!
i know jws have their minds well and truly under control, but as i remember the united nations was bad mouthed from its inception by the wtbts.. hyprocrisy, lying and slander were all words that crossed my mind when talking to this relative, but the huge pointlessness of trying to wake up a jw from their 'cosy' fantasy world suddenly struck me and i made my excuses and left..
You must remember that this is the same organization that has no qualms about coaching it's child members how to be deceitful on a witness stand in a court of law; all under the guise of "Theocratic Warfare".
In the minds of faithful Watchtower Witnesses, whatever actions suit the organizational interests are acceptable; no matter how many intellectual gymnastics one must perform to rationalize them. Unfortunately, rank and file members are not treated so charitably.

The posts made by WTWizard need to be taken with a grain of salt. I have seen him make other statements similar to this that have later proved to be utterly false. When anyone on the forum makes statements about some kind of "inside knowledge", always question them about it and ask for specifics. If they don't reply to your question; it is usually always a sign of a B.S.er.
