I think that it could be mentioned in the chart that the GB acts as a supreme judicial and legislative council. The GB makes decisions in matters of doctrine, practice, and decides which matters are disfellowshipping offenses.

I believe I am getting there
by Doug Mason inin a recent post, i asked for help with a "jw" organization chart i am trying to create.. my greatest problem was with understanding the relationships at the "upper level" of the organization.
i have addressed this in some detail in my latest iteration and believe i am getting closer.. my picture is at:.

Perhaps webmustang / aka Gomer Pyle decided to do the Theocratic thing; and go look up the answer on the Watchtower Library CD-ROM.

I respectfully disagree. First of all, for anyone to feel that they alone have the ability to interpret scripture is beyond arrogant. To feel that they alone can interpret Revelations is dellusional. When reading "The Finished Mystery" line for line anyone can see the utter nonsense of that book.
You make a very good point. The words you used: delusional and arrogant are quite accurate in my opinion. The key word is delusional. This is why I believe, they can teach such nonsense without feeling any impropriety about it. That is why, in my opinion, they are not lying; but are deluded by their own sense of self-importance. When Steven Hassan wrote about various Bible cults he had studied, he commented that many of the leaders were so deluded that they believed their own irrational teachings. It was this quality that made them so convincing to their followers.
As far as arrogance is concerned, I truly do believe that it is arrogant to place an organization and a class of humans (i.e. "John Class") into the role of mediator. The organization has become an idol in that it is elevated to Christ-like status (mediator, salvation, the truth, the way, and the light).

I personally do not believe that the WTS is lying about many of their teachings, because I think that they truly believe their own rhetoric.
I don't believe that active JWs can be helped if we try to tell them that the organization is lying and conspiratorial. I think they can be helped if we show them where the WTS is in error and is teaching information based upon faulty concepts.
As far as the Seven Trumpets doctrine is concerned, I think that the WTS has a "wait and see" attitude much like a lot of their other teachings. I think that they feel that the "current understanding" is the best interpretation that they have, so they may as well waith for "Jehovah to give them new light".
The WTS treats ambiguous Scriptures (particularly the book of Revelation) like a Rubik's Cube. They are always twisting it, changing it, and fittling with it to trie to solve it. They are obsessed with the concept that they alone are the God-chosen solvers of the puzzle. This whole process is based upon two concepts: CURRENT UNDERSTANDING; and NEW LIGHT. This is why they have had to resort to pasting new sentences and paragraphs into the Revelation book.

webmustang:
Why is it that you need others to tell you what is Scriptural and what is not? Are the Scriptures somehow deficient in that they need to be expanded upon by an extensive collection of rulings and policies? Are you trying to allign yourself with organizational policies and laws? If so, I would only suggest that you go read the book of Galatians very slowly and thoughtfully.
Ask yourself what the apostle Paul meant when he repeatedly told Christians not to allow themselves to be placed under law or to be slaves of men.

Duke Vindicates Jehovah's Ways
by Justitia Themis ini found this on the "e-watchman exposed" db.
the post speaks for (or against) itself.
the duke case is a tragedy, but is certainly does not argue for the "two-witness" rule.

The standard boilerplate argument of the Watchtower Society is:
Quesion Watch Tower Doctrine = Question Jehovah
Question Watch Tower Corporation = Question Jehovah
Question Watch Tower Policies = Question Jehovah
Exposing Watch Tower Wrongdoing = Touching Jehovah's Eyeball
