so this is in addition to the 'worldwide headquarters' they completed a few years back?

Bible study
by GregT ini used to attend the meetings and was baptized about 30 years ago but i haven't gone to the meetings or associated with any one i new from the congregation for around 15 - 20 years.
i want to get back to studying but i am not ready to go to any meetings.
other than the watchtower and awake what book is used these days for people just starting to study with jehovah's witnesses?.

I would like to be ask questions where the study conductor starts to potentially think ‘outside the watchtower box’.
I know may be a tall task but maybe a question here and there may cause a questioning behavior. -

Is there a review or guide to the enjoy life forever book to assist with asking good questions and being prepared for a study of the book. Would like to be able to ask some questions to get the study leader to critically think.

What changes are on the way?
by insearchoftruth ini was listening to the co talk to my wife’s congregation on sunday and pretty much the complete talk was justifying doctrinal and organizational changes and pretty much preparing the ‘rank and file’ for upcoming changes.
anyone on hear have any insight of what ‘new light’ is coming in the future?.

So trying to get back to the intent of why I posted this thread. Was there any additional conversation on ‘new light’. The more I think the more plausible consolidation of congregations into fewer KH or even AH that serve more as theaters makes sense and use the brick and mortar locations for events like CO visits or memorial services and meeting places for FS. Lots to be made in real estate at this time.

Very interesting Iwanttoleave.
The current real estate market sure makes this an attractive time and they have been able to capitalize on electronic ways of delivering the drivel. I guess the biggest concern is keeping the donations to the ‘worldwide ministry’ coming in. A bunch of real estate profits would definitely mitigate this for a while. -

Has there been some foreshadowing of consolidation of halls since they seem to be ramping up their multimedia capabilities?

Seems many think a sale of the KHs which with the price of real estate makes good fiscal sense. You think a consolidation of many congregations in fewer KHs or better online capabilities and continuing more virtual which could make the message even more consistent across the rank and file.

My wife had been inactive for close to two years but the congregation has definitely gotten her to at least listen to the meetings with the doom and gloom. She won’t outright say it but she sure eludes to this being the beginning of the end.
Was interesting a couple of weeks ago she was talking about how Sylvia Browne was taken over by spirits or something like that due to her prediction of the pandemic but when she touted the prediction from Awake and I asked why that was different from Ms. Browne she had no answer.

Does any other denomination change Doctrines as often as JW's?
by TerryWalstrom inwould i err in stating most religions and denominations have set doctrines?and yet, the watchtower's version/rendition of christianity is riven with contradictions which stem from changing predictions, policies, doctrines, and interpretations seemingly adrift from foundation or principle.wouldn't you think the constant upheaval, sifting, churn, and reorganization bespeaks whim, mood, uncertainty, and wilful speculation more than divine guidance?there's something endemically jittery and insecure about this religion which i would opine has more than a little to do with unstable mental affect than mere whimsy.what's your take on this?.

Amazes me that they always say there teachings are directly from the bible, but then the teachings are always changing, though they say the bible is without error.
