  One of the Governing Body had a stroke yesterday

  on may 19th, theodore jaracz had a stroke.

  he's in very serious condition in the hospital.. that's all the information i have for now.. barb.

  @JHK - that has already been done - all on the GB except Barr were hand picked by Jaracz.

  Does the GB then have to vote on a selection, needing a simple majority, or is consensus amongst the whole GB required?

  picked these up off the net.

  didn't see them here so i thought i would post.. i really like the back cover to the new book, showing pictures of a car from the 30's with "jehovah's witnesses" on the side.

  the pic of the guy in prison is beyond lame.. .

  This seems like a very intended outcome of these books, with the June WT lifting up the GB higher than the anointed......

  Is KH really a place of "Public Worship"?

  have you ever known anyone to just walk in off the street?.

  to me, kh's don't seem too obvious.. the one's i have seen are not too obvious.

  they all seem to be tucked away in residential neighborhoods and some have very discreet signs.. none i have ever seen advertise their times of worship services.

  I am looking at legal implications.

  Maybe that's why they changed and "compromised their standards"

  Great point......I really have trouble seeing how the WTS keeps it's standing as tax exempt......from what I can tell they do NOTHING for the community at large......at least by taking these steps they sort of / kind of look like a church.

  I notice when I travel for work that sometimes the JWs have their phone number listed in the places of worship section of the hotel information book....

  Well they don't have services....they have meetings.....

  What gets me is they talk about worshipping Jehovah....what do they do that even comes close to worship?

  It probably reads like a collection of Watchtower articles based on the Bible book in question.

  I guess this is getting quite common in the WTS, just regurgitate the past, I guess making slight adjustments for nulite?

  If Mr. Jarascz has some handicap from a stroke, would he be replaced on the GB, or unless you are thrown off, is it an appointment for life?

  Thanks Blondie, great thoughts again. Wife must not have thought much about this study, she went and normally I get a comment or two from it, how wonderful it was and how much she learned....nothing this week!!
