can you imagine the outcry on JWN if Jws just started baptism without actually showing people the message of what we believe?

But does it matter what the outcry really is.....what are the BIBLICAL requirements for Baptism.......show me where one needs to study two books, become an unbaptized publisher (could not find the term publisher in the Bible as well), needs to sit in front of a group of elders and answer to a bunch of questions and then declare dedication to an organization.

That is all I ask....

here's one example: being a congregation publisher.

nowhere in the bible does it say you should be a "publisher" and turn in your time if you preach.

My wife was reading the WT for tomorrows study and made some comment how amazing it was that Jesus was in his 30s when he was baptized. I mentioned to her how in the bible folks merely have to accept Jesus as their savior and they are baptized, they don't need to study a bunch of books, answer a bunch of questions and then declare their association with 'God's spirit directed organization'.....

Also in Acts 10 and 11, a Centurion (Roman Solider) is baptized immediately, Peter did not care that he was a soldier, from what I have read the Centurion did not need stop becoming a soldier.

I guess the point I am trying to make is that the complete way that the wts has twisted baptism is unbiblical....

i studied with the witnesses when i was in high school, 1984 my father didn't care at all but my mother was against it.

about a 4 month book study with the paradise book.

we met at a nearby jw's house once a week for a couple of hours.. since i was only exposed to the teachings and the very kind people for a short time i have very good memories of my experience with book study and the jw's.. i'm alone and lonely and they knock and i talk.

You can draw close to Him without going to any building, you know.
A relationship with God is meant to be personal, one should not need any men (or women for that matter) at all to tell them how and what that relationship should be. The church is not a building or an organization and God is not defined by a church or an organization...God transcends all of that. Don't let anyone tell you what God is, that is something that one should discover on one's own.....
If an organization says that they are the only way to know God, be very aware.....

Jesus's name has power because he comes on behalf of God and so Jehovah gave Jesus his name and allowed Jesus to be the saviour on behalf of God.

If Jehovah is so thrilled and happy that people use his mistranslated name, why would Jesus/Michael/Abbadon not be just as pleased to get it right and since the resurrected Jesus is Michael, just use the name Michael........?

What is the place for single people in the org (or people with unbelieving mates)? Once you are dunked and the lovebombing stops, will your 'friends' be your field service group?

There are no 'singles groups' or 'parents without partners' support groups.....from what I understand, unless a congo has a family who is reaching out to others, there is no social structure at all....its all about the mags and pubs.

pagan festivals are still practised as pagan and to pagan things they at best pay lip service to God and Jesus but people have to decide for themselves on this.

By what you have said here Reniaa, then this should be a matter of conscience, but the reality with the WTS on these matters is the people do not get to make the decision, the faithful and discreet slave class, which is in essence the men in Brooklyn, make these decisions.......there is no gray area, if you don't adhere (and you get caught), you are out.....so loving.
